Host Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.
Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

If you choose to cancel or not use your reservation, the SmokyMountains.com Service Fee is always non-refundable.
Unit Pet Policy
This host charges a $50 (plus tax) pet fee per animal staying in pet-friendly rental units. The animal type is restricted to dogs and a maximum of three dogs are permitted. In addition, dogs over 50 pounds are not permitted.
The following breeds are not permitted in cabins or anywhere on the property at any time: Pit Bulls & Staffordshire Terriers, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Chows, Great Danes, Presa Canarios, Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies, Wolf-hybrids.

The Perfect Getaway!
The cabin is exquisite ~ beautiful décor, spacious living spaces, and thoroughly clean and well cared for. The cabin offered something for everyone in our group of 6 (4 teenagers) to enjoy ~ pool, hot tub, video games, theater room, and the pool table. We appreciate that the staff sends the cabin address days before check-in which helped to plan our itinerary. The cabin location is perfect with the great views, quiet neighbors, and just a few miles near all the amenities such as the main parkway, restaurants, and entertainment. Check-in was delayed a bit so make sure you know that can happen; we were given an approximate time that the cabin would be ready (an hour and a half after normal check-in time). Since we were driving, we arrived 30 minutes after normal check-in time to the cabin. The cleaning crew were finishing up, so we just waited outside taking in the views. We waited until we got the notification that our cabin was ready which was literally before the cleaning crew pulled away from the cabin and 30 minutes sooner than we anticipated! We totally understand that delays happen, and it did not bother us about the delay ~ we entered a spotless cabin so well worth the hour delay! I would highly recommend this cabin (on rainy days or when you don’t want to go anywhere, there is so much to do!). We were so impressed by everything that we will be book our next getaway through here and most likely this cabin ~ everyone loved it that much!

Awesome, Off The Chart!
The the Lodge At Thunder Mountain was everything that we expected and more!Most of the family members had never stayed in a cabin before.Everyone was in awe of the spacious and beautiful surroundings both inside and out.We just didn't want to leave.
Thunder Mountain Lodge
Great cabin. Clean and good location not far off the parkway. Bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect - clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty to do in the cabin with games, pool, hot tub and fire. Only complaint is the kitchen is bare bones. Not many bowls, or dishes for cooking. No salt and pepper shakers and no soap to wash dishes which was shocking to me. We don't eat out so we do all our cooking in the cabin and we definitely lacked some things that other cabins we have stayed at in the past have had.
Beautiful Cabin With Lots To Do
We enjoyed the beautiful views, fun games and space to spread out! There were a few areas that could have used more cleaning.
Beautiful Home But Needs Some Tlc
While this is a beautiful home, some of what drew us to it when choosing a rental was not as advertised. The patio was NOTHING like the photos. It was tiny and not even set up the same. Not the same fireplace or platform with hot tub. The Adirondack chairs were the cheap plastic flimsy ones you can buy from Walmart. Only half the lights worked.
The house was filled with cobwebs in every room. None of the comforters were clean. Some of the video games were broken. The selection of cookware in the kitchen was cheap, heavily used and too small for the amount of people you can put in the home. There were dead bugs and snails in the sink when we got there. There were dead dried bugs in the floor throughout the house. Our large vehicles barely fit in the tiny driveway and we constantly had to mace and swap to get certain cars in and out.
