Five Guys Pigeon Forge

Five Guys Pigeon Forge: Get Your Burger-Fix Here
The Bottom Line:

Does the food cost more than Mcdonald's and other fast food joints? Yes. However, I would drive straight past those chain joints (even if they were giving away their food) to eat at Five Guys. Give them a try – you won’t be disappointed.

Although Five Guys Burgers and Fries is new to Pigeon Forge, the company was originally founded in 1986 and has over 1,000 locations. Five Guys claims to have produced the best $5 burger in the country, at the time, – I wholeheartedly agree. The burgers, which include a comprehensive list of 17 toppings at no additional cost, are the most prominent of the joint’s five menu items: Burgers, Dogs, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Fries, and Drinks.

As you can see, the Five Guys menu is extremely limited, but everything is cooked fresh to order. Next to the cash register is a sign that proudly displays the name of the farm that the potatoes were purchased from. The restaurant does not own a freezer – no TV dinners here!

However, don’t mistake fresh for healthy. If you are looking for healthy eating options, Five Guys is probably not a great choice. The Bacon Cheeseburger, which has two huge beef patties, packs a whopping 920 calories and 62 grams of fat. Or, how about a large order of fries that have 1,314 calories and 57 grams of fat? Now, to be fair, this meal could easily be the very best 2,234 calories you have ever sunk your teeth into. If caloric input is not a major concern, these burgers and greasy fries are difficult to beat!

Consider trying some of these menu favorites:

Bacon Burger
Every patty here is hand-formed and fresh off the grill. In this burger lie strips of crispy applewood smoked bacon and is set onto a warm toasted sesame bun covered with as many toppings as your desire.

Cajun Fries
The cajun fries at Five Guys are freshly-made boardwalk-style and seasoned with a delicious cajun spice. All of the fries are fried in 100% peanut oil, so if you are allergic to peanuts, it’s probably best you choose another eatery.

Everything from the flavorful burgers to the greasy fries is awesome – this is one of the few chain restaurants that I can wholeheartedly recommend.
