Your guided off-road tour will include everything you need to enjoy an unforgettable day, including ATV/UTV rentals, safety gear, lessons, lunch and drinks, and more!

Rated #1 on rankings of outdoor activities in Boone with a near-endless list of five-star reviews, Appalachian Outdoor Adventures in Boone is a must-do on any visit to the Smokies.

In addition to an invigorating day of exploring the trails, you’ll enjoy the company of friendly tour guides, a tasty lunch, and plenty of photo opportunities while making memories that will last long after your vacation is over.

When you plan an excursion with family-owned Appalachian Outdoor Adventures, you’ll feel like you’re in extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and capable hands. Owners Dyan and Scott will ensure that every detail of your outing goes off without a hitch.

Unlike some free-for-all tours that leave you to fend for yourself, Appalachian Outdoor Adventures tours—which last roughly four hours depending on the size and speed of your group—are guided by experts. (To maximize safety and attention on all private and semi-private guided adventures, groups are capped to 8 people.)

Appalachian Outdoor Adventures has both Honda Talon and ZFORCE ATVs and side-by-side UTVs. Each vehicle type has its own dedicated trails that make the most of its engineering specialties.

Whether you’re looking for wide trails where you can be more aggressive or tight narrow trails that test your technical abilities, you can look forward to a truly thrilling day on miles and miles of trails against a backdrop of gorgeous scenery.

Can’t decide between the vehicle types? Split your day between the two. All the equipment and gear is so clean that it feels like new, and the trails are equally well-maintained.

Lunch is simple, but homemade, plentiful, and very tasty—especially because you’ll work up quite an appetite on the trails. While quenching your thirst with complimentary beverages and noshing on warm sandwiches and cookies, you’ll have the chance to trade stories with Dyan, Scott, and any other riders who might be on the mountain that day.

And when we say Dyan and Scott are friendly, we mean it. You’ll feel like you’re visiting friends who just happen to own ATVs and have inside access to some seriously awe-inspiring terrain.

Have concerns about your skills as an operator? No experience is necessary, and the thorough orientation will set your mind at ease—as will the ongoing guidance on the trails. They’ll even point out perfect spots along the trails for stopping and taking photos of the awe-inspiring views that change with the changing of the seasons. On hot and dusty summer days, you might even get to cool off (and clean off) in the refreshing creek after your ride.

Whether you’re an ATV first-timer or an experienced rider, Appalachians Outdoor Adventures is a must-do on your visit to Boone and surrounding high country towns.
