The Montford location of the popular Nine Mile eatery brings the community together with friendly service and delectable Caribbean-inspired dishes. The vegetarian-friendly restaurant serves a variety of entrees, sure to please even the pickiest visitors.

Come hungry, for every dinner entree is served alongside locally baked (and filling) Natty bread, plus a salad. Natty bread is so popular, the restaurant offers the option to add two extra pieces as an appetizer. A variety of dressing options are available for the side salad, including jalapeno lime cilantro, mango vinaigrette, sesame garlic tahini, and orange balsamic.

Food may be the highlight at Nine Mile, but the drinks aren’t to be missed! The restaurant offers a vast selection of local brews, plus an impressive wine list. Visit the West Asheville location, and you’ll find a variety of Caribbean cocktails on the bar menu.

If you’re unable to drink alcohol or simply not in the mood, no worries — you’re encouraged to order one of Nine Mile’s amazing non-alcoholic beverages. From Jumex Nectars to Cheerwine, the restaurant offers something for everyone.

A few of our menu favorites include the following:

Reggae Mylitis
Your mouth will water over Nine Mile’s version of nachos, featuring tortilla chips, tomato mango chipotle salsa fresca, Caribbean black beans, and smoked gouda chipotle queso. For a small extra charge, you can add bell peppers, tomato, green onion, and jalapenos. Although technically an appetizer, this dish is satisfying enough to serve as a meal all on its own. Otherwise, it works well combined with one of Nine Mile’s soups or salads, or shared with a friend before you move on to your respective entrees.

Ark of the Covenant
Every bit as inspiring and grand as its name, this dish features wild-caught Alaskan sockeye salmon with Kalamata olives, grape tomatoes, squash, and zucchini. These delectable ingredients are served with a fresh basil butter sauce featuring feta cheese. The dish can either be served with basmati rice or tossed with spinach fettuccine.

One Foundation
One of several Nine Mile dishes offered with a vegetarian option, One Foundation features either jerk chicken or tofu with grilled pineapple and fresh vegetables. Served over spinach fettuccine, this satisfying dish includes a wonderful Alfredo sauce.

Soon Come
Both sweet and savory, this unique dish features sliced bananas and apples, plus currants and grilled pineapple. These various fruits are sautéed in butter, white wine, and pumpkin spice. The best part of the entree? The tricolor tortellini in which the fruit is tossed.
