Located on Haywood Street in Asheville, North Carolina, The Montford Rooftop Bar proudly offers seasonally driven craft cocktails, delicious eats, and majestic mountain views. This sleek hangout, with rustic-chic decor, provides amazing views and scrumptious dishes. Including some of the best cocktails in the area. In fact, The Montford Rooftop Bar is the only rooftop bar in all of downtown Asheville with unobstructed views of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

At The Montford Rooftop Bar, come for the view but stay for the local beers, unique wines, craft cocktails, and the light fare all set in a contemporary backdrop. You can also host your private event in this amazing space when you rent out the bar. Established in 2016, this rooftop bar concept is a truly unique experience. You will not want to miss it when in the area or when hosting an unforgettable event.

This bar is proud to offer locally sourced brews and local fare, bringing the taste of North Carolina to the top of the rooftop. The craft beer is from local breweries. Many other ingredients are from local farms and artisans, including Dry Ridge Farm. The Montford also hosts various themed events that run through holidays and other times of the year. This adds yet another element to the already amazing location.

Guests note that although the views are amazing, the fare is tasty and the drinks divine. The Montford Rooftop Bar is not somewhere you want to bring a group (unless of course, you rent out the space). This is because this is a small space, ideal for a select group of friends or a couple to enjoy. It’s not necessarily designed to accommodate large groups.

You access this unique bar by entering the DoubleTree Hotel and taking the elevator. Guests recommend coming around an hour before sunset. Therefore, you can enjoy watching the amazing views of the setting sun as you drink and/or enjoy your fare. Former patrons also note that there is an ideal location available where you can take photos with the mountains in the backdrop, without bothering other guests.

The drinks and the view are obviously the biggest assets of The Montford Rooftop Bar. However, there are many good reviews of their food and desserts as well. Showcasing they are more than a mere bar with an amazing view. The wait staff is also complimented on being knowledgeable about the dishes, drinks, and more throughout several reviews.

When visiting The Montford Rooftop Bar, again make sure you have a reservation. Stopping by will almost surely mean a wait, but once you get in, be sure to try the following noteworthy offerings:
