In the wake of Tropical Storm Helene, Lake Lure continues to recover with remarkable progress each day. The main road around the lake is clear, most restaurants and shops have reopened, and grocery stores are fully operational. You may notice ongoing debris removal from the lake and nearby areas, which makes the lake itself unavailable for the time being. The town of Chimney Rock is still in full recovery mode with limited access. With this, we're ready to welcome you, and local businesses are excited to see you! Mountain View Retreat in Lake Lure is truly an amazing property! With HUGE mountain views and so close to the Lake Lure Marina and Chimney Rock. This home, built in 2017 features an open concept with direct views of the exposed granite face that most people only see from a distance. The main level includes, the fully equipped kitchen with beautiful granite countertops and downdraft venting for gas cooktop. The great room is open with a stone surround that extends to the top of the vaulted ceilings, but the fireplace is currently not operational. The outdoor living space (partially covered) with composite decking is the perfect spot to take in the mountain air and the views. With 3 bedrooms, another sleeping space and 3 bathrooms, you have plenty of space for the whole group, even your 4 legged friends. The lower level features a second full kitchen and laundry and this level also walks out to another deck for enjoying the great mountain views and a hot tub! Pets: This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party. (This is NOT automatically added by VRBO, TripAdvisor or Airbnb, so please let us know so that we can add the fee for you) Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.
