In the wake of Tropical Storm Helene, Lake Lure continues to recover with remarkable progress each day. The main road around the lake is clear, most restaurants and shops have reopened, and grocery stores are fully operational. You may notice ongoing debris removal from the lake and nearby areas, which makes the lake itself unavailable for the time being. The town of Chimney Rock is still in full recovery mode with limited access. With this, we're ready to welcome you, and local businesses are excited to see you! As you arrive to this charming lake house, Hickory Hideaway, you will immediately notice the view of Lake Lure and quickly begin to unwind! Lake Lure is special and the views from this house are exceptional. Upon entering the house, you will be taken away by the high-pitched ceilings and exposed beams. To your left is the newly renovated half bath and fully equipped kitchen to gather and prepare your meals. The dining room table seats six comfortably and looks out over the lake as does the living room. The living room is very cozy with its gas fireplace and flat-screen TV. Take the stairs up to the open loft with its queen-sized bed and fabulous view of the lake. There are two bedrooms on the terrace level, including a master suite with a queen bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom has one twin bed and a double bed. Outside the two bedrooms is a remodeled bathroom and the house is equipped with a washer & dryer. This is such a cozy and comfortable lake home, a great place to relax and enjoy a family getaway! You'll want to return again and again! Location: Private family home, 2 miles from the quaint town of Chimney Rock and an easy drive to Lake Lure town and beach area. Visit the spectacular Biltmore Estate or take a country drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Eat and drink your way through the stunning wineries and breweries that the area has to offer. For the more adventurous, head out to do some rock climbing, white water rafting, zip lining or horseback riding. The options are endless! Look out for some of the many festivals that the area has to offer, including our own Lake Lure Dirty Dancing festival that is held every September. Asheville, Hendersonville, Black Mountain, Flat Rock, and Mars Hill area, all within a short drive for fun family day trips. Connection extends outside down to the boat house deck enabling streaming capabilities or 24/7 work from home options at any location on the property. The connection to the internet has proven to be very stable and reliable. - Parking for 3 vehicles, no parking on the street - 2-night minimum throughout the year and a 3-night minimum is required for all holidays - Cleaning fee: $205 Yonder openly shares & clearly posts our Cleaning Fees in a manner of full disclosure, as we think this is the most honest and forthright approach with respect to our guests. Quiet Policy: Please note that the home/estate property is located in a very private and quiet community. Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords. Pets: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby. Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.
