Description

Whether you plan to ski, hike, or check out all the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, you'll find Sweet Blessings an ideal home base. The two-bedroom chalet-style cabin, which sleeps six guests, is perched among the Smoky Mountains in the Chalet Village community. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, and downtown are all within a 10-minute drive. What's more, from the cabin's spacious wraparound deck you'll have views of lush woodlands and the mountains themselves.

Sweet Blessings' setting is nothing short of spectacular. Fortunately, the deck is furnished so that you can spend hours outdoors. Enjoy breakfast at the picnic table while wrens and warblers greet the day, then sip a nightcap under the stars while ensconced in one of the comfortable Adirondack chairs. The vistas are so glorious and the surroundings so serene, you'll find it hard to believe just how close you are to everything from mountain coasters to restaurants.

The cabin's interior is just as restful. The wood-planked cathedral ceiling gives the great room an airy, welcoming vibe, which is enhanced in winter by the golden glow of the fireplace. Once you sink into the plush sofa or one of the two roomy recliners, you might never want to get back up. Luckily there's a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player to keep you entertained, along with free Wi-Fi.

When it comes to dining, you have numerous options. Scores of restaurants, offering everything from seafood to Italian to fondue, are just a short drive away. You can also dine either on the deck or in the great room's dining area. Four people can comfortably sit at the round dining table, and two more can belly up to the adjacent breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, cookware and tableware you'll need, whether you're hosting a holiday feast or whipping up margaritas to enjoy by moonlight.

Each of Sweet Blessings' two bedrooms includes a log-frame queen-size bed. One bedroom is on the main floor, while the second is tucked up in the loft. Having the bedrooms on separate floors allows for additional privacy. If you have extra guests, you can open the great room's sofa, it converts to a queen-size bed.

Along with two bedrooms, Sweet Blessings has two bathrooms. You'll be able to indulge in a long, pampering shower without worrying about a line forming on the other side of the door. Nor do you have to worry about bringing towels or linens. You'll arrive to find plenty of clean towels in both bathrooms, the beds impeccably made up, and extra bedding ready and waiting. If you want to start your vacation with a shower or a nap, you can.

Chances are you won't want to spend too much time sleeping, however. There's simply too much fun to be had nearby! If you stay at Sweet Blessings in the summer, you'll have free access to Chalet Village's outdoor swimming pool. A visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must. You can discover its wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls on foot, on bike, on horseback or by car. Also close by is Ober Gatlinburg, where you can ski and snowboard its slopes in winter and enjoy rides, ice-skating and a wildlife exhibit year-round. The attractions of downtown Gatlinburg include the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, mini golf and arcades. Also nearby are the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster and the Wild Bear Falls indoor water park.

No matter how you spend your day, you'll love returning to the quiet, calm, and natural beauty of Sweet Blessings afterward. Book your stay today and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Sweet Cabin!

It was a nice cabin. It was cozy, relaxing and very clean. The only issue in the cabin was that large burner on the stove didn’t work most of the time. The porch on the cabin was fantastic and the view was gorgeous. Read the info they leave about the bears and always lock your car doors. We went out one morning and three of the car doors were open. I thought someone had broken into it until I saw the muddy bear paw prints in my car seats. We hadn’t left anything so I’m not sure why they got in the car, but fortunately no damage was done. Take the bear info seriously. If I went back, I would stay there again.

Great location, could be cleaner.

The location and view are great. Check in was really simple. The cabin needed to be cleaned a bit better though, it was not vacuumed before we got there. Also some of the kitchen gear needs to be replaced.

Good start to retirement getaway!

A good experience. The cabin was rustic but everything worked. Furnishings were unique. Jew was excellent abd we spent most if time there on the deck enjoying it. The visits from the two bears were exciting but we kept our safe distance. Cooling system good. Privacy was nice. All together a good experience!

Renter be aware

First of all be aware that the cabin is located on a 33% grade hill with a hair pin turn. Despite the photos you see on the website, the cabin is very dark inside. We saw some roaches on the kitchen floor, kitchen counter tops and in the first floor bathroom. The cabin needs some updates such as carpets, kitchen appliances (there’s no washer/dryer and no dish washer), and a new mattress in the first floor bedroom. The shower curtain in the first floor bathroom was moldy and dirty. After a heavy rain storm, the first floor bedroom smelled strongly of backed up sewage. The smell cleared up the next when the rain stopped. On the outside of the cabin there was litter in the driveway and 2 large bags of trash in the woods that could be seen from the cabin porch. The 2 star review given was for the amazing view from the porch.
