Description

A 2-bedroom cabin with a spectacular view of the Great Smoky Mountains, Woodshed is a delight to come home to after an action-packed day. Not only are the surroundings stunning and serene, but the cabin itself is a haven of calm and comfort. Every element of the home, from the outdoor hot tub to the deck rockers to the wood-burning fireplace, encourages relaxation.

Located in Gatlinburg's private Cobbly Nob neighborhood-itself set within a 1,000-acre resort-Woodshed has a back deck that stretches the width of the house and looks out over dense woodlands toward the Smoky Mountains. You'll be in laid-back vacation mode before you know it! Cook kabobs or fresh-caught trout on the charcoal grill-the fresh mountain air is an ideal seasoning-and then savor your meal out on the deck too, at the roomy patio table. And luxuriate in the outdoor hot tub while wrens and swallows serenade you in the daytime or owls and whippoorwills sing you a lullaby at night.

You don't have to be on the deck to revel in the beauty surrounding Woodshed. The living room's wall of picture windows floods the room with sunlight and lets you gaze out at the mountains even as you stretch out on the oversized leather sectional sofa. The sofa is, in fact, large enough for the whole group to sprawl out for movie night-the living room has a TV with cable and a DVD player. In summer, the ceiling fan will add a welcome breeze, while in winter the stacked-stone fireplace will bring a warm glow.

When you don't want to dine on the deck, you can all gather around the indoor dining table, which seats 6. Likewise, you're not limited to cooking on the charcoal grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, tableware, and even a dishwasher.

Woodshed has 2 bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other in the loft above, a layout that provides welcomed privacy. The main-floor bedroom, located by a full bathroom, has a king-size bed, a TV, and a ceiling fan to lull you to sleep. The upstairs primary bedroom features a king-size bed, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom that includes not only a shower but also a jetted tub-just the thing after a day of hiking or biking the trails of the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The bathroom also has access to the upper-level balcony; enjoy a romantic glass of wine under the stars before turning in for the night.

As well as the opportunity for romance, the cabin offers numerous amenities, including a washer and dryer (here's a chance to return from vacation with a suitcase full of clean clothes!), free Wi-Fi, a carport that accommodates 2 vehicles, and parking spaces for another 2. And did we mention that Woodshed is pet-friendly? Well, it is!

Another of Woodshed's amenities is off-site: free access to Cobbly Nob's 2 pool areas in the summer. What's more, at the foot of the resort is the award-winning Bent Creek golf course, designed by legendary golfer Gary Player.

Just slightly farther afield are the restaurants, shops, and amusements of downtown Gatlinburg; the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and craft shops offering everything from stained glass to chainsaw art; and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.

No matter how you spend your days, you'll relish returning to the comfort of Woodshed. Experience its calm and beauty for yourself: Make your reservation today!

Cozy cabin in the foothills

Cabin is beautiful, fully stocked kitchen, spacious rooms. Bed upstairs was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. Quiet surroundings! Hot tube on deck was amazing! Second floor bathroom Jacuzzi jets haven't been cleaned - black particles filled the tub. Showers were perfect pressure but hot water didn't last long. Cabin was fully stocked with entertainment - satellite TV, PS3, DVD player, pool table. Fireplace was a disappointment as its just lights, no real fire or heat coming from it. Comfy furniture, located in a lovely little gully. No wildlife seen except a possum and a couple stray dogs. Safe place to stay! Close to sightseeing and mountains.

This place is a nightmare

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE - YOU WILL REGRET IT We booked a 10 day vacation through VTrips - Vacation Rental Pros from September 18, 2021 to September 28, 2021. House address: 417 Lucerne Way, Gatlinburg, TN 37738. Instead of the beautiful mountain home that was advertised - We paid $2,282.15 for a 10 day nightmare that ruined our vacation. We have never had as bad of an experience as we had here. Absolute moldy dump that even has structural problems. We knew there were going to be issues when we had trouble opening the front door since it was swollen/damaged and very hard to open and noticed the bed on the side of the house - yes it is that obvious. We began making daily phone calls of complaints a couple of days after arriving. At first we did not want to call and run the risk of packing and repacking to be assigned to another house. By Sept 21st, we had enough. For starters, we were locked out of the master bedroom. Had to call for someone to come and unlock it. We wasted half a day waiting for maintenance to come since we do not feel comfortable with strangers coming into our place without us being there. However, we were on vacation, and did not want to spend an entire day waiting for maintenance, so reluctantly, we agreed to have a technician come into the house without us being present. When we got back we found out why it was locked - no operating lights in the bedroom - even the bedside lamp did not work. The closet in the master bedroom could not be used - filled with mattress and other stuff- so even if we wanted to use it - we could not. The door going from the master bath to the outside deck was jammed and took considerable force to open - waste of time since we found out later the deck was all moldy and structurally defective. - multiple pictures. So as we were told by your staff when asked if the master could be unlocked - WE RENTED THE WHOLE HOUSE AND DEFINITELY WE CAN USE IT. NOT A CHANCE. Bathroom downstairs - water in toilet was continually running. - the only way to shut off was manually push down on an obviously 10 year old flapper - picture attached Jacuzzi did not work - another call and another technician to come to the house in our absence. THEN WE DISCOVERED THE DRIPPING MOLDY WATER into and on the jacuzzi. A few days later we ended up with dark brown water. Was told that utility company was working and be patient. We had 3 days of dark brown water so we had to use bottled water since there was no potable water available. Also during this time we were unable to shower since the water smelled so bad and did not know if it was safe to use - 2 pictures attached - wonderful after hiking and traveling all day. The living room couch looks like something that someone picked up on the street. - you sit in a hole if you use it - picture attached Master bathroom toilet paper holder broken. Porch on 2nd story - floor broke thru as I was sitting on a chair and fell through the floor. Bruised my hip - have pictures -- and hit my head. The chair leg actually fell thru the deck causing me to injure myself. Deck is rotten. This is the most serious of all the problems. It proves that this house was not fit to be rented. Its a liability when your guests end up hurting themselves on your property because of lack of maintenance and total negligence. Kitchen sink - faucet not working properly - would not completely shut off Light over kitchen sink not working Bathroom downstairs - tub faucet broken, scalded myself because when you turn it to COLD you actually get VERY HOT water. Obviously, we did not expect that. At the side of the house there was a mattress, pillow and sheet - not sure if a homeless person was using it. In any case, if the property was walked prior to renting it to us, property management should have noticed it and gotten rid of it. pictures attached. According to your advertisement, it showed that there is a common use swimming pool available for our use. When we went to use it, especially since we had no usable water in the house and we were told that belongs to the units that are next to the golf course. FALSE ADVERTISING! Advertising pictures show beautiful view, beautiful interior thru windows you can see out of - not a chance - everything overgrown - vines growing over deck - blinds broken and windows fogged over The carport in the pictures shows that there is cut wood that the renters can use in the fireplace. No cut wood was anywhere. FALSE ADVERTISING! The living room couch is shown in your pictures is in very good condition when in fact it was trashy and worn out. FALSE ADVERTISING! This place was and is advertised as a beautiful high end home rental - place is dangerous - unmanaged mess Half of the main windows are fogged over and the main porch is completely overgrown with shrubs. No screens on doors or windows - so no such thing as fresh mountain air. No way to open up place and enjoy. The great advertised view is overgrown with brush and shrubs - even when we went to the 2nd floor balcony the view was blocked by overgrown shrubs. Absolutely no exterior maintenance has been done on this place in over a decade - entire place is completely overgrown with weeds/moss and algae HOT TUB - unit is under the 2nd floor balcony - the bottom of that balcony is covered with mold and wood rot so any water dripping down was moldy smelling and obviously unhealthy - It rained the first few days we were there and the mold smell was horrible and the 2nd floor deck is obviously rotten. As I stated in the beginning of this report, we did not have a vacation, but a 10 day nightmare that saw me injuring myself.

Hole in the wall - save your $$

Property fell way below expectations. From no key code being provided to 2 key codes being provided, only to find out the 2nd on never worked, almost got locked out of the house at midnight. Not Clean, dirty floors, broken shades that couldnt be retracted, windows so glazed you lost the beauty of outside. Stained couch cushions upstairs, rotted wood decking on upper deck with nails backing out of wood making it UNSAFE, mold around jets in upstairs tub making it unuseable. Stains on every shelf in the upstairs linen closet. Clothes closet in room was full of junk, matress, old lamps. No where to hang your clothes. Lower deck full of dried leaves and vines starting to overtake the deck. The BBQ grill was atrocious due age and rust on the grates. Wrought iron chair arm broke. Faucets in both tubs continually dripped. Downstairs bathroom, toilet seat loose. Fridge was clean, appliances are OLD, toaster, can opener, pots, utensils. Waste of $$$$ Would never recommend this facility. Ruined the trip. Spend some $$ remodeling.
