Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark brings year-round fun for the entire family to Pigeon Forge. While called a snow park, this venue offers much more. You’ll find axe-throwing, roller coasters, and more at this park that offers fun times for everyone in your group.

The snowpark features rides and things to do that feel reminiscent of a trip to a ski resort. Snow tubing takes you down a 500-foot slope. The Ski Lift Shootout Coaster resembles a ski lift that includes a laser for shooting at targets on the ground.

The activities at this park allow kids and adults of all ages to have fun. Some rides have height restrictions for riders to go on them alone. However, when accompanied by an adult, children at least 40 inches tall and three years old can ride most of the rides, including the summer tubing hill.

Don’t miss the following things to do at Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark:

Snow Tubing
The hallmark of Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark is the snow tubing attraction. When you go, you’ll get a large tube to take up the Magic Carpet Conveyor Belt up to the hill. This conveyor allows you to easily enjoy the ride, without having to climb up stairs repeatedly.  At the top of the hill, get into the tube and slide all the way down the 500-foot-long, snow-covered tubing lanes. A couple of drops in the lanes take you down a total of 70 feet from the top of the hill to the base.

The park only operates its snow tubing option during the cooler months when its manufactured snow stays in place longer. The park makes its own snow and covers the hills with this powdery snow in the cool mornings.

Outdoor Axe-Throwing
People across the country now recognize how fun axe throwing can be. Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark has an outdoor axe-throwing area with over 10 chances to test your skills at throwing axes toward targets. Staff members can instruct you and give you tips if you are new to this sport. Who knew that you could learn something new while visiting an amusement park?

Summer Tubing
Summer tubing uses the same tubing hills as winter snow tubing. However, instead of covering the hills with snow, the lanes have LED lights that keep them lit for tubing late into the night. Tubes fly down the hill at speeds reaching up to 35 miles per hour. This tubing hill ranks as Tennessee’s longest, fastest outdoor tubing adventure.

Ski Lift Shootout Coaster
You must try the Ski Lift Shootout Coaster. After boarding each two-person gondola, you’ll have your legs dangling under the car as it dips, rises, and moves around the course. Your hands also stay free to use the laser gun during the ride.

These swinging cars do not travel as fast as other roller coasters. However, the slower pace allows you to take part in a real-life video game. Each rider on the coaster has a laser gun to fire at more than 50 targets on the ground along the course of the coaster. You score points for each target you hit. Compete with the person beside you for a high score. This ride leaves many visitors with fond memories and comes as a highly recommended activity.

Avalanche Snow Coaster
For kids or adults who want a roller coaster experience without the high speed of a typical ride, the Avalanche Snow Coaster is an ideal choice. While most coasters have speeds based on their movement around a track, riders have control over how fast their car travels on the Avalanche Snow Coaster.

Choose to enjoy a calming ride at low speeds around the track. If you like thrills raise the speed to the limit for a fast-paced ride. Where else can you find a roller coaster that puts you in control over the speed but at Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark?

Have fun with snow tubing and much more at Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark all year long with activities the entire family can enjoy.

Insider Tips:
-Arrive in the morning, which is when the park adds snow to its attractions. Over the course of the day, the snow melts. This results in lower snow coverage in the tubing areas late in the day.
-Make reservations for snow tubing as soon as possible. This is the park’s most popular attraction and requires a separate ticket from the other rides. Arrive an hour before your reservation to get your wristband so you can be at the tubing area by your reserved time.
