Parrot Mountain and Gardens, which is located minutes away from Dollywood and Pigeon Forge, offers visitors the chance to stroll through a beautifully landscaped, four-acre bird habitat. The attraction features hundreds of birds ranging from beautiful multi-colored toucans to hornbills and everything in between.

The gardens, which feel like a real-life version of a Thomas Kincade painting set in the Smoky Mountains, feature a 200′ stacked stone Irish wall, picturesque garden pathways, bird cottages, flowing waterfalls, and religious statues. The peacocks, butterflies, and dragonflies add to the illusion that you are walking around inside a beautiful painting!

The highlight of Parrot Mountain and Gardens is the bird garden. This incredible area features an enclosed area with over 70 birds on open perches! If you are looking for the perfect photo opportunity, this section of Parrot Mountain and Gardens is the place! You can feed the birds by hand, have your photo made with the exotic birds, or just walk around and watch them in their habitat. Whether you are a young child or an adult, you are sure to LOVE this chance to get close to colorful birds.

Since the entrance to Parrot Mountain and Gardens is close to Dollywood, try to either arrive when Dollywood traffic is minimal or use Jayell Road to McCarter Hollow Road to take a back way in.

Directions:
From downtown Pigeon Forge (driving towards Gatlinburg), turn left at Dollywood Lane and continue for 2.0 miles. Make a right turn on McCarter Hollow Road and continue for approximately 1.5 miles (at 1.1 miles you will have to turn left to stay on the McCarter Hollow Road). Follow the signs to Parrot Mountain and Gardens.
