On a cold winter day in the Smokies, nothing satisfies the soul quite like a hot, delicious cup of home made hot cocoa. Simple. Quick. Delicious.
There are a lot of variations on this recipe, but by far my favorite way to make hot cocoa, is over the stove, slowly heating the milk until the mixture gives birth to that delightful, milky froth that you simply cannot get out of a pre-made hot cocoa packet in the microwave. Pour it up in your favorite mug, drop in a couple cinnamon sticks, sprinkle on some chocolate shavings, and let the joy begin.
