The Moonshine Mountain Coaster is sure to give you a thrill as you fly down the mountainside on a sled-like cart!

Sit back and relax as you get pulled up the mountain in your sled by a pulley system-like process. Once you get to the top, grab your handles and go!

Push forward on your handles or let go to control your speed. The sleds are attached to the track, so don’t worry about flipping or flying off. Feel free as the wind flies through your hair and you make your way quickly down the mountain. If you don’t want to go alone, ride with a buddy!

All-day wristbands are available for $30 ages 8 and up. For children 3-7, it is $5 for an all-day wristband. Considering the track is fairly short, the cost is a little high, but for such a fun and unique experience, the cost is worth it.

The workers are friendly and will treat you well. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to ask them; they will be more than happy to assist you in whatever you need. Expect a bit of a line if you’re doing this attraction during a peak time such as during the summer months.

This thrilling coaster is open year-round during rain, shine, or snow, so it’s always an option if you’re looking for something fun to do. If blazing down a mountain on a sled isn’t thrill enough for you, try doing it at night.

Rider Information:
-Riders must be at least 56 inches tall to ride alone.
-Children must be accompanied by someone who is at least 16 years old and 56 inches tall.
-No sled can exceed a weight of 375 pounds, and if the track is wet, the weight cannot exceed 330 pounds.

Location:
When you drive into Gatlinburg on the main Parkway (from Pigeon Forge), the Moonshine Mountain Coaster is located on your left-hand side near Light #2 in downtown Gatlinburg.

Insider Tip:
-If this is more fun than you can stand, you can ride the coaster a second time for only $8!
-While the Moonshine Mountain Coaster is a good thrill at a decent price, our personal favorite is still the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster located in Pigeon Forge just off of Wears Valley Road.
