Nothing quite matches the comfort and satisfaction of sampling a fresh piece of pie, baked with love. The Baked Pie Company delivers all of the warm fuzzy feelings you enjoyed while eating Grandma’s pie, plus a vast selection bound to satisfy even the fussiest eaters. Fruit pies dominate during the summer months, but are available all year long. During the winter, visitors favor the Baked Pie Company’s many variations on the chocolate pie concept.

Feel free to sample pie by the slice, and then, if one strikes you as especially delicious, purchase a whole pie for the road. Can’t settle on just one selection? Drawing from the tradition of local Asheville breweries, the Baked Pie Company offers pies in flights of three. If choosing three types of pie still proves difficult, you’re welcome to test several options; the Baked Pie Company is notoriously generous with sampling. You can order your pie a la mode or all by itself. Conventional pie shops only offer vanilla ice cream, but at the Baked Pie Company, you can also select salted caramel.

Believe it or not, it’s not just about the pie. The shop actually resulted from its founder’s realization that she couldn’t enjoy a quality piece of pie and a cup of coffee together anywhere in South Asheville. She set out to fill this glaring niche, and today, pie and coffee lovers can count on the Baked Pie Company for delightful desserts, drinks, and ambience.

Seating is a bit limited inside, so be prepared to get cozy if you arrive with a large group. During the summer months, outside seating opens up, allowing for a little more breathing room. In the winter, curl up with a good book inside, where you’ll appreciate the whimsical decor.

A few of our favorite menu items include:

Strawberry Cheesecake
Pie may be the focus at the Baked Pie Company, but if you’re a hardcore cheesecake fan, you’re in luck: the dessert hot spot also crafts a glorious strawberry cheesecake.

Honey Pecan Pie
This recipe infuses a Southern classic with just enough honey to give it a satisfyingly sweet taste.

Strawberry Rhubarb
Just as gorgeous as it is delicious, this pie features a classic lattice top crust. Tangy, yet sweet, you will feel compelled to order an entire pie for yourself!

Black Bottom Mocha
If you’re feeling adventurous or simply want additional java alongside your cup of coffee, don’t miss this unique pie. It features a distinctive mocha flavor and dark crust, plus chips on top for good measure.

Sugar-Free Chocolate Cream
Enjoy all of the pie you desire with none of the guilt. When sampling this pie, it’s tough to tell that it’s actually free of sugar — it’s just that good.

Whether your idea of the perfect pie includes a lattice top or loads of chocolate, you’re bound to find it at the Baked Pie Company. Stop by for the sweet treats and stay for the cozy, friendly atmosphere.

Insider Tips:

  • Although a fun place to visit with friends, the Baked Pie Company is arguably an even better destination for solo adventures. The shop has a large bookshelf, and you’re welcome to find something interesting to read as you enjoy your pie and coffee.
  • The Baked Pie Company emphasizes seasonal ingredients, so you won’t find the same pie selection every time you visit. Because of this dedication to fresh, seasonal fillings, you may find the fruit pie selection slightly lacking during the winter months.
