A 2-bedroom cabin that sleeps 6 people, Close to Heaven is just a short drive to the attractions of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. At the same time, it’s just far enough off the beaten track that you’ll be able to relish the beauty of the woods and mountains in peace and privacy.
As soon as you step inside Close to Heaven’s great room, you’ll feel right at home. Large windows let in plenty of sunshine to accentuate the luster of the wood-planked walls, floor, and cathedral ceiling. Two sofas—one of which opens into a queen-size bed—offer comfortable seats so that everyone can sink back and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with satellite channels, listen to music on the CD player, or enjoy après-ski drinks by the stone-surround fireplace.
The great room encompasses the dining area, which seats 6. Four can gather around the eye-catching log-style table; another 2 can sidle up to the adjacent breakfast bar. And though numerous restaurants are nearby, once you see the gleaming, well-equipped kitchen, you might want to dine in instead. It’s always more fun to cook in someone else’s kitchen—especially when it’s as spacious and open as Close to Heaven’s. What’s more, there’s a park-style charcoal grill outside. If you reel in trout from a nearby stream (or buy steaks for a nearby grocery), it’ll taste even better grilled alfresco.
After dinner, you might want to head upstairs to the loft’s pool table. Even if you don’t shoot pool, you’ll enjoy relaxing up here, thanks to the bird’s-eye view of the treetops and the seemingly endless sky.
Or, perhaps you’d rather unwind on Close to Heaven’s wraparound deck. Enjoy cocktails at sunset on the Adirondack chairs or, better yet, luxuriate in the deck’s hot tub. After a day on the go, its massaging jets of water are so rejuvenating. The singing of birds and the rustling of the breeze in the trees will only heighten the experience.
You’ll find a 2nd jetted tub in the master bedroom, located on the loft level. As if having a private Jacuzzi steps from your king-size bed weren’t pampering enough, the room also has its own fireplace and TV. You might find yourself heading to bed early and staying there late simply for the pleasure of lazing in this haven.
The 2nd bedroom, on the main floor, includes a king-size bed and a TV as well. In addition to 2 bedrooms, Close to Heaven has 2 full bathrooms. Having a bathroom for each bedroom is so convenient: You can indulge in a long shower or bath without a line forming on the other side of the door. We’ll provide plenty of clean towels for both bathrooms. What’s more, you’ll arrive to find the beds impeccably made up and extra bedding ready and waiting. And for added convenience, Close to Heaven has its own washer and dryer. Not only can you pack light, but you can even return home with a suitcase full of clean clothes.
Given Close to Heaven’s semi-secluded setting, you might be surprised by just how close it is to the local attractions. For instance, less than 15 minutes away is the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an 8-mile trail of galleries, shops, and studios. Drive a bit farther and you can be hiking the trails of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Also nearby is downtown Gatlinburg, home to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Guinness World Records Adventure, thrill rides, mini golf, and a tram that carries you over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area. Head in the opposite direction and you can be at Dollywood, Alcatraz East Crime Museum, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, dinner theaters, and more in less than a half-hour.
However you spend your days, you’ll love basking in the serenity and comfort of Close to Heaven at night. Book your stay today; we’re looking forward to seeing you!
