Description

A hot tub and pool table and arcade, oh my! Those are just a few of the delights that await you at Serenity Peak. Add to them free access to a swimming pool in the summer, a location just minutes from all the area's attractions, and spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains, and you have the makings of a perfect vacation.

A three-bedroom log cabin that sleeps eight people in comfort and style, Serenity Peak is within the Covered Bridge Resort. Because the resort is an easy five-minute drive to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, the town's main thoroughfare, everything from Dollywood to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Titanic Museum to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, is practically at your front door. What's more, the resort has a heated swimming pool that's open in the summer, so you can enjoy a refreshing swim when you return from golfing, zorbing or going on a spree at the outlet stores.

Serenity Peak was the development's show model, so it boasts some especially fabulous features. Chief among these is the huge deck, one of the largest within the resort, and a gazebo with a deck swing as well as rockers. The Smoky Mountains are in plain view. At least one night you'll want to enjoy dinner at the deck's dining table as the sun sets over the mountains. It's a sight you'll long cherish.

As well as the outdoor eating area, the cabin has an indoor dining table that seats six guests with ease, plus an adjacent breakfast bar with room for three more. And while you'll no doubt want to experience some of the many nearby restaurants and dinner theaters, once you see the open, beautifully equipped kitchen you might be eager to enjoy at least a few meals right at Serenity Peak. Stainless-steel appliances, gadgets galore, plenty of cookware and tableware, this kitchen has it all.

A stone-surround fireplace warms up both the dining area and the living room. Its golden glow adds to the luster of the wood-planked floors, walls and beamed ceiling. The living area is a marvelously relaxing space. There's room for the whole gang to gather and watch a movie or the big game on the flat-screen TV, and the plush sofa is tailor-made for indulging in an afternoon nap.

Upstairs is the game room, another comfortable gathering spot. In addition to a full-size pool table, you'll find an arcade and another TV. There's a bar table as well, perfectly situated by one of the oversize windows so that you can take in a bird's eye view of the mountains and woodlands as you play cards, check your email with the free Wi-Fi, or enjoy an after-dinner drink.

Also upstairs is the primary suite. Though spacious, it's also cozy, thanks to its planked walls and vaulted ceiling. Along with a king-size bed, it features a settee that can convert into a twin bed, making this room ideal for a couple with a small child. Of course, the heart-shaped jetted tub also makes the room ideal for a couple in the mood for romance! Among the suite's other amenities are a TV and a private bathroom. It's a haven within a haven.

Back on the main floor are two more bedrooms. One also has a king-size bed, making the cabin well-suited for two couples or families vacationing together. The third bedroom has a twin bunk bed over a double, with a trundle bed as well, so that up to four people can make this their quarters. The kids will love it, especially when they see that this room also has a TV. The main-floor bedrooms share the cabin's second full-size bathroom-having a bathroom on each floor is so convenient. And speaking of convenience, Serenity Peak has a washer and dryer too.

When it comes to Smoky Mountain getaways, Serenity Peak has it all. So go ahead and book your stay before someone else beats you to it!

Great views, loved the location

We stayed here back in March and enjoyed our stay in Serenity Peak. It provides privacy from the parkway traffic but is only about 8 minutes away. We had breakfast at the private gazebo several mornings and also enjoyed the hot tub. There was also an arcade video game and pool table to keep the kids busy. The only problem we experienced was that the fire place didn't put off any heat. Luckily it wasn't super cold during our stay.

Family annual Christmas trip. Easy to find. Convenient to Pigeon Forge attractions. Decks and gazebo would be great in warm weather.

Total disappointment and loss of money!!

Our family looked forward to spending the weekend in Pigeon Forge celebrating my birthday and taking our grandchildren to Dollywood to see the Christmas lights. As our time approached, wildfires across Tennessee and N. C. caused dangerous air quality and Pigeon Forge was under a RedFlag alert for unsafe air quality. We called 2 business owners in Pigeon Forge to inquire about the safety in coming and they said the smoke was very bad for anyone with sensitivity to smoke. I immediately phoned smoky to explain that doctors recommended that it would be very unsafe for our 1 year and one elderly person. I knew I could not get a refund, but asked if we could reschedule to an open date when it was safe for breathing. I was told no and also given the "chamber of commerce speech" that it was perfectly safe. My husband and I drove all the way to the cabin to check out the safety of the air before the rest of our party came. We experienced burning eyes, dizziness, and difficulty breathing and had to return home without staying the weekend and forfeit $891. We feel that was totally unreasonable under the unsafe conditions and will never use this company again. They should have been willing to reschedule us to a time when the air was at a safe quality to breathe!!

Thank you for taking the time to review your booking. Unfortunately, as your review mentions, you did not stay at our property that you negatively reviewed. During your scheduled dates, there were no official travel advisories and we hosted over 100 other stays successfully. Thanks for booking with us and we hope to host you again in the near future!

Nice & relaxing

Originally I had a bigger cabin but it was sold so we had to find another. I was upset at first until we arrived at Serenity Peek. The views of the mountains were beautiful and the cabin itself was amazing. We were celebrating my husband's bday and we had a great time. I do wish they had more parking for the cabins and if you are going in the winter when it snows be careful because it is on a hill.

Awesome!

We loved this cabin and the whole Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our only issue was a somewhat rude person from the property management office when we called confused about our check in time but the property was great and we would stay there again.

Peaceful Stay

We stayed at the Serenity Peak for 5 days. It was very peaceful and the service was outstanding. We had 3 small issues and were resolved within the hour. My only feedback would be that cable be provided in all the rooms and maybe a small AC in the upstairs room. At night it would get toasty and those staying in the rooms downstairs would be cold. Outside of this, the pictures are very much exactly how the unit looked and having a washer and dryer in the unit was a major plus!!!! Very worth a family vacation. Not to mention, very close to the main strip of attractions, restaurants, and stores.
