Brand new cabin just completed in Nov 2023. If you're searching for a one-of-a-kind cabin experience in the Smoky Mountains, you'll want to check out this stunning cabin. Boasting four bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, including 3 private bathrooms and 1 shared bathroom, the dining area can accommodate up to 10 people. But what sets this cabin apart is the unique design and construction. It has the look and feel of a cabin built in the 1800s but with modern luxury and convenience. Instead of the typical tongue and groove knoty pine walls, the cabin features a variety of woods such as rainbow poplar, black walnut, white & red oak, ambrosia maple, cypress, persimmon, and hackberry. Each piece has been handpicked from 4 states, laid out like a jigsaw puzzle on-site; and cut to fit for the perfect spot. Many of the materials are historic items from around the country. The log wall inside is a huge focal point, 22ft high and 36ft long. It features antique logs that are 150+ years old, hand-hewn American Chestnut. The cabin also has a granite kitchen island, rock-stamped concrete driveway for 12 cars, two stone fireplaces with 180-year-old American chestnut mantles, a beautiful clawfoot copper tub, a 5-hole professional putting green. But what's special about this cabin is the seating, the large private lot, the amazing 360-degree views, and the perfect spot for a wedding is in the large pavilion with amazing views of Cove Mountain & Roundtop Mountain. The cabin was designed and finished by Gary Fields owner of Barnwood Life. He and many of his projects have been featured on the TV show Barnwood Builders. Throughout the cabin, you'll find small plaques that give you the history of the materials used and unique facts about its construction. Handmade doors with ole timey Rim lock door knobs, antique dressers, handmade beds, and tables, and a huge 12x12 rainbow poplar timber frame inside and out add to the cabin's charm. The floors and ceilings are made of rainbow poplar and antique sawmill lumber (black walnut, white & red oak, ambrosia maple, cypress). Every wall and room is a work of art within the wood itself. The kitchen's backsplash is 150yr old handmade brick with the fingerprints and marker mark still in them. The cabin is spacious, with room for up to 18 guests, and has a total of 4700 sq ft. and over 1700sq ft of porches. It has parking for 12 cars on the concrete driveway and is located in a cul-de-sac, providing a private and intimate experience. The cabin property is 3⁄4 acre and borders a 40-acre rolling hill pasture at the bottom of Cove Mountain (4139 elevation) and Round Top Mountain (3077 elevation). The cabin also has porch swings, a 15x25 pavilion with bed swings that look out onto the mountains, and a 7-person hot tub, making it the perfect retreat for anyone looking to relax and unwind in the serene beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
