Trail House on the Parkway

The Trail House on the Parkway is a beautiful mountain home and conveniently located near many area attractions! All that stands between this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home and the Parkway is a field of wildflowers frequented in the evening by whitetail deer. Spend your mornings and evenings relaxing on the covered back porch, or roasting marshmallows in a wood burning fire pit outside. NEAR THE SKI SLOPES and TOWN!! Less than 20 mins to Sugar Mountain Ski or downtown Banner Elk 30 mins to Beech Mountain Ski or downtown Boon Park your car on the level, paved driveway and pass through the entrance into a cozy sitting room and the first two bedrooms, one with a twin trundle bed and the other with a queen bed and a full bathroom. The primary bedroom, just down the hall past the shuffleboard table, features a king bed and full bathroom. The rear of the house contains the great room: an open kitchen, dining table, and spacious living room. Relax and rejuvenate on the newly-built side porch with built-in seating; a gas grill; and soft lighting; or sip your morning coffee on the covered porch in the back. With Blowing Rock, Boone, and Banner Elk all less than 30 minutes away, there is plenty of shopping, entertainment, and dining for everyone. If you prefer a more active visit, explore Linville Falls (just 10 minutes away), go for a swim in nearby Wilson Creek, or explore many of the other hiking opportunities off the Parkway. And don't forget your bike: The Trail House on the Parkway features a Park Tool bike stand, air pump, and bike tools to ensure you're ready to tackle the roads, gravel, and singletrack of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With a prime location on the Parkway, you can ride up Mt. Mitchell or down to Lake James and visit Fonta Flora Brewery at Whippoorwill Farm. If gravel is what you're looking for, Maple Sally and Pineola - two of the finest gravel rides in all of North Carolina - are just 10 minutes from the front door. Whether you're searching for the quiet of the Blue Ridge Parkway, an afternoon of shopping and dining in Blowing Rock, or a warm shower and a soft bed after a day spent cycling in the mountains, the Trail House on the Parkway has something for everyone! ADDITIONAL NOTES - This home is pet friendly! Pet rent is $25+tax per night per pet. Home allows one mature well trained dog please - RETURNING GUESTS? Reach out for details on a special discount! - Check-in is 4pm and Check-out is 10am - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. - Towels and linens will be provided for you. - Firewood for the outdoor firepit can be purchased with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night. Please let us know how many nights that you would like to purchase. - Situated at over 3700 elevation, ceiling fans and window units are used for cooling sources at this home. - Guests do not have access to unfinished basement or lower level garage.
