The home is situated just outside of the Town of Lake Lure, right on Lake Lure, affording privacy for everyone to relax & enjoy the feel of the WNC mountains, and all that Lake Lure affords. Lake Lure is a vacation community, whose residents are friendly and welcoming to guests, (if you even see them, since the neighborhood has private, densely wooded lots that afford amazing privacy). Get ready to be “wowed” by the never-ending views from this mountain style lake retreat. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted rooms, and cozy spaces, you will immediately feel at home at Catawba Lake House. (That is of course if you can tear yourself away from the bi-level decks, hot tub & soaking in the spectacle of the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking Lake Lure, & actually venture inside!) The mountain lake home affords a comfortable great room, kitchen, a lower level Game Room, plenty of bedroom/baths, direct dock lake access, and MORE; with plenty of space to unwind and gather with your group. But, if you need some “alone time”, there is plenty of space inside and out to find your own serenity. There are 4 outside porches, decks, and patios, and the private hot tub for ultimate outdoor relaxation. Lake Lure has so much to offer guests; from swimming, kayaking, boating, hiking and walking trails, streams, and much more. While at Catawba Lake House, everyone enjoys all that the home has to offer; from the Game Room, Great Room electric fireplace, hot tub and of course the spectacular decks, where you can pull up a chair and take in the "sound of silence", observe the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fire flies come out to play in your backyard above and on the lake. Also available for rent for an additional fee is the 20-foot pontoon which can accommodate up to 14 people. Cruise one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the country and dock at Catawba Lake House. No personal watercraft is permitted to use the Catawba Lake House dock. Our Cleaning Fees are backed by our Clean Guarantee, which reflects the highest level of standards, pristine environments for our guests, and a level of clean that surpasses any other vacation homes; we literally guarantee it! Current local tax rate is 12.75% No Security Deposit / Guests are responsible for damages. Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates. Home Truth: Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, 2024 through the first quarter of 2024(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. Pets: This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party. Please inquire for details regarding payment, the cancellation policy, military discounts, and trip insurance. Note: Reservations over 30 days are subject for review prior to acceptance. A separate rental agreement will be required for 90+ day stays.
