Located only 10 miles from Boone and 13 miles to West Jefferson, 1 Relaxing Place is ideal for year round vacations to the High Country! Bring your loved ones to this charming 3-bedroom cabin and get ready to make unforgettable memories! The main floor features an open kitchen and living room allowing enough space for friends and family to spread out while cooking together or watching TV. The living room also features a wood-burning fireplace which is the perfect way to bring home the rustic cabin feel! There is nothing better than listening to the popping and cracking sound of wood burning while enjoying your favorite movie and beverage. The master bedroom is on the main floor and offers a king size bed, TV and full ensuite bathroom. The upper deck can be accessed via the living room and has a dining table and several chairs. Perfect place for dinner outdoors! Downstairs there are two more bedrooms, each with full size beds and their own bathrooms. Also downstairs is a set of sliding glass doors that will lead you out to the lower patio area and hot tub. Out here you can relax while admiring the beautiful long-range mountain view and enjoy the sounds of local wildlife and a rushing creek down the mountain. The fire pit area is complete with plenty of seating around. Roasting marshmallows and telling campfire stories with kids or friends is the perfect way to end a fun day exploring! The private setting of 1 Relaxing Place is truly special and will have you eager to come back year after year to enjoy all that the mountains has to offer. Additional notes: - 1 Relaxing Place is accessed via gravel roads however, pretty easy to navigate in most vehicles. AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended during winter months. - There is enough parking for 3-4 vehicles. - This home is pet friendly with a $25 per day, per dog pet fee. - You may purchase firewood from us and have it delivered prior to your arrival. The cost is $25 per night. Each night purchased includes 2 small bundles of wood and 1 fire starter. We require a week's notice in order to deliver wood, no exceptions. - Check in time is 4PM and check out time is 10AM. - Owner has a camera facing the driveway for security purposes. This is not pointed towards any common areas or inside the home. - The Story Behind the Name I grew up in Virginia among the expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The main level has an open floor plan with a wall of windows overlooking the stunning views. Leather furniture is arranged around a floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace, with a 50” TV mounted above it. Behind the seating area is a dining room table large enough to comfortably seat 6 next to the kitchen outfitted with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, artfully lit by overhead track lighting. Coffee lovers will enjoy being able to use either the classic drip-style maker or the Keurig machine! There is a laundry closet and a half bath just off the main area. The master suite on this floor, done in a peaceful green theme, has a King bed with a TV and ceiling fan, and an en suite bathroom with a tiled shower and a separate bathtub, double vanities, and a water closet. Downstairs is a spacious theater room with comfortable seating around a 50” HDTV and BluRay player, with a Berringer pool table in the rear. The second master suite is on this floor, featuring a wild birds theme and a king bed with a TV and access to the bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The bathroom is also open to the hallway, and there is a sitting room off the hallway with a daybed and trundle underneath. Both the main and lower levels of the home have expansive decking. The hot tub overlooks the beautiful mountain views from its position on the lower level, and on the upper level you'll find seating to kick back and enjoy the year-round vistas, as well as the firepit in the yard. Perfectly situated on Appalachian Ski Mountain between Boone and Blowing Rock, and outfitted with every feature you could possibly want in a mountain escape, you're sure to love coming home to 1 Beautiful View! OFF-PEAK SPECIAL: Stay longer than the minimum number of nights and automatically receive a 5-15% Discount- Excluding Holidays. Additional Notes: - Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night. - PET FEE: $25 PER NIGHT, MAX 1 DOG. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year! - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
