Property is next door to the famed Apple Hill Farm and 5 miles from the heart of Valle Crucis. Home offers full kitchen, three bedrooms (2 queen beds and 1 king bed) as well as two full baths. Open kitchen also offers dining area and seating for 6. Spacious living room with TV features streaming TV service via AppleTV. Gas log fireplace in living room is operational after Labor Day. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered front porch while you watch the mountains come alive with the sun's ascent or relax anytime on the private open deck out back. Gas grill is also in the backyard. Depending on the season, you may also enjoy the miniature horses from Apple Hill Farm pastured in the field across the street. While you on Blueberry Hill, don't miss out on Apple Hill Farm, a mountaintop Alpaca farm which offers public tours and store featuring fiber products from the farm. In addition to the Alpacas, you'll meet Mr. Pickle the pig, Gretel the Angora goat, and their friends. Public tours are offered throughout the year. Blueberry Hill is located 5 miles from historic Valle Crucis, home of the original Mast Store, and about the same distance to downtown Banner Elk which offers shopping, restaurants, and more. Skiing at Ski Beech and Sugar Mountain Resort are about 10 miles away. ADDITIONAL NOTES: - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided - Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am - Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent. - Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. - No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. - Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook. - No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable. - 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. - This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home. - Located at over 4000' elevation, this home does not offer air conditioning. It does have a heating system for winter. CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
