Suited Our Needs Quite Well
In arranging a retreat for ministers, I needed a large facility with a bed for each of our 17 registered attendees. We had stayed here twice before, and found it quite suitable. By renting both sides there is plenty of bedding, and we have more than enough kitchen and dining. We ran into typical issues like no baking sheets (on either side) and cooking utensils that weren't in the best shape. Still, we'll probably come here next year if the rates don't rise much.There were some maintenance issues: Very low water pressure in the kitchens, evidence of mice, a leaking refrigerator (probably the line for the ice maker), slow drains in the bathrooms, etc. To their credit, maintenance appeared quickly when these were reported.I hope it works out for us to return again next year, and that these issues have been resolved.
A Good Place To Retreat
Our group of 13 used Red Maple Lodge for our annual retreat. We used this place three years earlier, and have found it to be big enough for our purposes, and generally clean and up-to-date.One deficiency was the Activities Center. The code we were given didn't unlock the door; it took the maintenance man coming to open it for us. The workout equipment is low-quality and not really suitable for a serious workout. The covered pool was not clean at all, though we were told someone had been there a couple of days earlier to clean it. The large spiders / crickets in the bottom of the pool stifled any desire to take a dip.If you're not going to use the activities center, Red Maple Lodge is a good place for a large group.
Fun Times
Nice place to stay. A little frustrating at first getting in (the code didn't work) but was taken care of promptly. Very spacious. Floors were not very clean. Everything else looked tidy. Very nice place to walk. Convenient-close to everything. Wi-Fi very unreliable. Comfortable beds. Some of our family said the upstairs bunk beds linens had not been changed. Stool feel apart in kitchen but ladies I reported to were very friendly an understanding.
Pigeon Forge vacation
Although location was good and property was clean was a little disappointed. No welcome package ,no info on how to access pool or fitness center ,no parking at pool area , no TV's in bed rooms, no numbers to call if emergencies, (1) closet door was loose up stairs, no one in office to communicate with.
