Spring Break 2017

Overall this was a very pleasant experience. The cabin was spacious and the beds comfortable. It was clean. Blinds needed dusting and a few light bulbs were not working but other than that, we were pleased.

Bait & Switch

The photos of the porch and hot tub listed on the website were NOT of this property. It was much, much smaller and would have impacted my decision to book this particular cabin. Additionally, the couch and loveseat in the living room was not clearly pictured and it was immediately obvious why not: They were both falling apart. The fabric was ripped and frayed and, frankly, disgusting. When we sat on the couch, we sank all the way down to the support beam (no, I am not heavy). We could not comfortably relax on the couch and when we sat on the loveseat, the fabric (a faux leather in dark brown) flaked away and stuck to our skin. Additionally, the porch above ours leaked directly onto ours and into the hot tub. The ceiling of the deck/ the floor of the deck above ours bulged out just above the hot tub even when it wasn't cascading water down in giant, continuous splashes. We called maintenance and we were assured that it was safe (not sure how he could have guessed that due to the bowing of the wood above us) and that we could continue to use the hot tub. We opted not to do that as even if it was safe, it was hardly relaxing to have someone else's hot tub water sloshing on our heads. It was the worst hot tub experience of my life and I frequent mountain cabins (at least twice a year). Further, the website posted the same bedroom twice to show the bedrooms available, so we were quite shocked to find that one of the bedrooms was tiny with barely enough room to walk the perimeter of the bed. All in all, the bait and switch was egregious. The ice maker was not operational. There was a sign in the pantry that struck me as confrontational-- it listed the charge for washcloths as $10 each. I'm still not certain if we were supposed to take the cheap little tote/ reusable bags that had (for some reason) rolled up top sheets in them or not. The sign listed the price of those at $8. Also, the signage in the resort was severely lacking. A simple directional sign at various intersections would have been helpful, but there is only one. The location was great and the community pool was adequate. If you don't plan to spend time in the cabin or hot tub, this is likely a fine budget location, but if you intend to spend time relaxing in the cabin, skip this one entirely.

Needs some TLC

Old pet urine stains on carpet, should have deep cleaned every 30 days. Need thicker blankets on beds for colder weather. Cable in 2 bedrooms didn't work and no heat flow in 1 bedroom.

Our Mountain vacation

On the second night we had a group above us who let their children run and yell until midnight. The third night we had a group above that started yelling and running late in the afternoon and this was still going on when we came back after dinner. It graduated to loud yelling stomping and running, then they started wresleting or fighting we could tell which. We were afraid to call anyone we did'nt know what might happen if they were allowed to stay.

New years

I was very pleased with my stay at the property. The only thing that I disliked was that the last day we stayed at the property we woke up to the smell of something burning. We figured out it was the stove that would not turn off. We had to disconnect the stove from the power and I called maintenance right away. I advised them that the stove was burning internally and if they could have someone come by to fix it. I had called early in the morning and they said they would have tech come out right away. We left for the day and when we returned back to the property they had not come by to fix the unit. I called again and they said they couldn't get maintance on the phone so there was nothing they could do. We had bought groceries to cook that night our diner but were not able to. The rep on the phone told me there was nothing she could do until maintaince came which I understand but I think I could have received a call earlier in the day so we could have made other plans to eat out and not purchase groceries since we were not able to cook. The tech ended up coming at around 10 am the next morning and we were told that they would have to fix it and we could use the stove from the upstairs unit since the people renting had already left and we had to eat breakfast out. We had to check out at 11am that day so we told him we would not be using the upstairs. That is the reason I am not giving the stay a 5 stars

Don’t stay here!

The condo itself isn’t horrible it’s not super run down or anything but the beds in 7c are absolutely garbage and need to be replaced. When you sit or lay all you feel is springs and it is incredibly uncomfortable. The fireplace had to be looked at twice the alarm system didn’t work, and there was no coffee table. When I called the office on our first night the girl who answered was so rude and completely blew me off with my concerns about our safety as someone else’s cabin alarm went off at 12:34 in the morning. I was told an complaint was put in so that a manager could call me back but they don’t work on the weekends. Then on our second night we asked if we could get bed pads to make the beds more comfortable and they said that the office was closed. Saturday at 8 and had been closed for a couple of hours. The hot water only lasted for three people to shower in a 12 person condo. Someone was supposed to come check if the pilot light was still on but as far as we can tell no one ever came. It was a horrible experience over all and would not recommend for anyone to stay with Eden crest at pinnacle view.
