Description

Only five minutes from downtown Gatlinburg but far enough off the beaten path to provide plenty of peace and privacy, Cozy Bear Lodge has everything you've always wanted in a vacation cabin-and more. And because the three-bedroom, three-floor lodge can sleep up to twelve people, you can invite friends and family to enjoy it with you.

As you drive up the ridge to Cozy Bear Lodge, you'll be delighted by the lush woodlands. And once you step out onto the rear decks and look out toward the Great Smoky Mountains, you'll be even more dazzled. That's why you'll find plenty of seating, including rockers and a swing, from which you can take in a natural beauty surrounding you. You can even soak up the views while soaking in the seven-person hot tub. It's especially magical at night under a canopy of twinkling stars.

You can relish the vistas indoors too, thanks to the picture windows of the great room-and this is one great room truly worthy of the name. Not only is it large and airy, but it's beautifully appointed too. Stretch out on one of the sofas to watch a movie or the big game on the 60-inch flat-screen HDTV with cable, Netflix and Blu-ray player. Nestle in an armchair by the fireplace with your tablet to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi or sprawl out on the rug to play board games with the kids, you'll find a number of games to choose from in the cabin. This is a quality room for spending quality time with your nearest and dearest.

The dining table easily seats 10 people. After you clear the dinner dishes, you might want to bring out a jigsaw puzzle ordeal everyone in for a game of rummy. Or you can head downstairs to the game room to shoot some pool on the full-size billiard table. If pool's not your game, why not keep the others company while watching a favorite show on the 42-inch flat-screen TV?

If you thought the common rooms were comfortable, wait until you see the three en-suite bedrooms. There's one on each floor, and each has its own full bathroom. Each also has a king-size bed with a sumptuous pillow-top mattress-sweet dreams are practically guaranteed! You'll also find a flat-screen TV with DVD player, plenty of storage, a ceiling fan and doors that open onto a deck or a balcony. You can slip out early in the morning to catch the sunrise over the mountains or late at night for a romantic spot of stargazing without waking the others.

The two sofas in the great room and the sofa in the game room open into beds as well-and given how luxurious those rooms are, we don't think anyone will mind camping out in them!

Cozy Bear Lodge's kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, pots and pans, tableware and all the other accouterments you need to prepare three square meals a day or simply reheat leftovers. There's a charcoal grill outside as well, which will please any barbecue-lovers in your group. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, a CD player/stereo, movie channels including HBO and Showtime and unlimited long-distance calling.

And let's not forget Cozy Bear Lodge's prime location. It's just a little over a mile from downtown Gatlinburg! Once you're downtown, you'll have your choice of restaurants, breweries and attractions ranging from an aquarium to the Guinness World Records Museum. The lodge is also less than 10 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a true must-visit. Even Dollywood is less than a half-hour's drive.

It's easy to see why Cozy Bear Lodge is such a favorite with visitors. Don't miss your chance to be one of them-book your stay today and get ready for what might be your best vacation yet.

Cabin, thumbs up, Mother Nature, thumbs down!

Since I am ranking my overall experience in this cabin I do want to say that the cabin was great. Plenty of room for my entire adult family and beautiful views of Gatlinburg. I cannot help but mention the fact we lost power on Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock five minutes before the UT game! We did not get power back until 1:30 in the morning so that interrupted our dinner plans, our hot tub plans as well as our football watching plans. Of course this is not the fault of the owners of the cabin but mother nature herself ha ha

Great house, terrible owners

The house was great. 5 Star house all around. However the owners, Jackson Mountain Homes was awful. I travel 4+ times per year and this was by far the worst management company I\'ve ever encountered. It took 13 phone calls to finally get to someone that could give us the access code for the house. Not what you want to deal with after a 20 hour drive with 3 kids under 6! I sent in the rental agreement 6 times to different email addresses as instructed and now, even 2 days after we left I am still getting emails requesting that o sign the rental agreement. They never returned my phone calls. We couldn\'t access the hot tub because it was locked. I will never rent from them again.
