As a relatively newer addition to Pigeon Forge and located off the beaten path, Appalachian Axe Company is a lesser-known spot entertainment spot in the area. With comparatively lighter crowds and a smaller venue than other hot spots in the region, Appalachian Axe Company staff members have the ability to assist guests with axe throwing, as needed. Whether you have a large group or visit with just one other person, you get the same friendly service.

Upon arrival, you have the option to choose from various time-based packages for kids or adults. Each package includes 18 holes of cornhole, axe throwing, or both. You select the amount of time that you get for axe-throwing, which ranges from 30 minutes to two hours. During your scheduled time block, you have unlimited throwing, so make the most of it and try multiple throwables. If you love axe throwing, opt for a longer time block to save money on the per-hour cost.

In 2021, Appalachian Axe Company started with black light axe throwing. Real wood targets painted with neon lights stand at the ends of the throwing lanes. But the experience includes more than simply throwing axes. Your session includes a selection of more than 20 types of throwables. Some popular options are ninja stars, throwing cards, knives, shovels, hatchets, kid’s axes, adult axes, torpedoes, and darts. Ninja stars are favorites among previous visitors here, especially kids. You won’t find a larger selection of options for throwing anywhere else.

The staff at Appalachian Axe Company take safety very seriously. Each target has a separate throwing lane with chain-link fencing between lanes. Staff members will help anyone who needs assistance in learning how to safely throw and successfully hit the target.

A first for Tennessee is Appalachian Axe Company’s Xtreme Cornhole. Imagine the combination of miniature golf with cornhole and you will have an idea of how you play this game. The course consists of nine challenging holes where you must throw a beanbag through various obstacles to get into the hole.

You get to play through the course two times with a basic package.

Try the first round as laid out. During the second round of play, roll the challenge die to up the level of difficulty. Depending on the roll, you may need to play the hole by spinning in place several times before throwing the bag or using your non-dominant hand to throw. Adding die rolls to every hole keeps the game from getting stale and makes it even more fun.

While axe throwing and cornhole are the major experiences, shopping for unique, custom-made products is another activity to enjoy here. You’ll find everything from croc charms to handmade toys to cutting boards and ornaments. These handmade pieces are perfect when you want to get souvenirs that you won’t find elsewhere.

Appalachian Axe Company is a veteran-owned and operated business. The owner of this facility produces many of these woodworking products. Visiting this entertainment facility gives you the chance to support a veteran while having an exciting time in Pigeon Forge.
