With both indoor and outdoor seating, The Corner Diner is a delightful way to enjoy the historic charm of Pigeon Forge and the surrounding Smoky Mountains. It’s a slice right out of old American heaven, with beloved dishes such as burgers, biscuits, and gravy, and all the countrified sides you can stuff in, the whole family will love eating here.

First and foremost, let’s talk about the vibes. The Corner Diner unabashedly hearkens back to the decade of Grease and Pleasantville, with vibrant aquas, rust oranges, and blues around every corner. Cactuses and spaceships on the walls, along with globe lights and a brighter-than-bright menu, all add to the experience. With fast and friendly service and piping-hot food, nothing will detract from your meal.

If you’re into smash burgers, then this is the place for you. Essentially, a smash burger is a burger with the same bun, fixings, etc., but with a twist on the patty. Rather than being pre-formed and cooked, the burger meat is instead dropped right onto the grill and “smashed” in place with a spatula (hence the name). The result is a thin, well-done patty that is crispy on both sides. While it isn’t ideal for those who like medium-rare, it’s the perfect option for anyone who likes crispy, juicy, beefy flavor.

The restaurant is open from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, so it’s ideal for grabbing a meal out any time of day. The wait is usually reasonable, although it’s so yummy it has become popular during mealtimes. You might want to arrive before you’re starving!

A few of our menu favorites at The Corner Diner include the following:

Chicken Pot Pie
Is it a pot pie? Kind of, but instead of a crust in a pan, it’s an open-faced biscuit smothered in the most delicious gravy, cheddar, and eggs. Triple yum.

Hot Cheeto Grilled Cheese
Yes, you read that right. This sandwich has hot Cheetos in it, and we’re not at all sorry about it. In most ways, it’s your classic grilled sandwich, with American cheese and a side of tomato basil soup for dipping. But the addition of hot Cheetos to the mix? Well, that takes it to heavenly new levels and is sure to delight the Gen Zs traveling with you.

6” Steamed Sub
If a steamed sandwich sounds like a watery hodgepodge of no-thank-you, you’re not alone. However, steamed subs are a revelation. Much like the Chinese dish bao, a steamed sub marries soft, silky bread with meats, cheeses, and veggies to form the perfect marriage of sandwich and lasagna. Don’t miss it.

PB&J French Toast
That’s correct, The Corner Diner has somehow managed to fit two American favorites into one delicious dish. This bad boy is made of thick-cut bread, dipped in egg and fried to perfection, filled with peanut butter and grape jelly. With extra peanuts on top, it’s absolutely to die for. As if that weren’t enough, you can get hashbrowns or home fries on the side, so you better plan on a big hike afterward! Or you can just pair it with one of their delicious smoothies for an infusion of fruit.
