Host Cancellation Policy

From date of booking until 14 days prior to arrival, cancellation is allowed. There will be a $25.00 cancellation fee deducted from your booking deposit & the remainder will be refunded back to guest. Once inside the 14 days prior to arrival there will be no refunds for any reason and all monies will be forfeited. Date or unit changes inside 14 days prior to arrival are considered cancellations.

Date changes are allowed by this host up until your 14 day prepay and cancellation date. Once you are inside the cancellation period, this host does not allow date or unit changes allowed. That is considered a cancellation.

If you cancel your reservation inside the 14 days prior to arrival your claim and refund will be handled directly between the guest and the Travel Insurance Company. You will file a claim with travel insurance company & they will require proof of cancellation reason. If you cancel outside the 14 days prior to arrival, you will be refunded your deposit less the amount of your Travel Insurance Policy.

Travel Insurance can be purchased directly from this host after booking.

Disappointed

We have stayed with Whispering Pines several different times with exceptional experiences with each one until this stay. One positive note was this unit was probably the cleanest unit we have stayed in. On the first night the bed was so uncomfortable that I didn't sleep any and ended up on the couch. It rolled to the center and was so noisy with each move. There was no supports under the box springs on a king size bed. Also, there was a loud noise coming from the owners closet. I complained to the front desk and asked to be moved and was told that I could not move rooms and they would send someone up to look at it. I have no idea if anyone ever came to look as no one ever followed up with us and nothing really changed about the bed (the bed might not have rolled to the center as bad but still not acceptable) or closet noise. Thank goodness for a couch. I'm not sure what has happened to customer service and unfortunately this was probably our last stay with Whispering Pines.

Not happy

This is my 3rd review and I still haven’t heard back. The fire place did not work and there was some type of a possible battery operated contraption running, squeeking in the owners private closet that was reported but ignored.

Winter Break

Check-In was professional as they explained everything in the packet to the amenities and layout of Whispering Pines. The only negative has nothing to do with the staff as everything was clean and view was great. The Box Spring on bed needs replaced (Not Mattress). You get up, you sit down or you just turn over at night you wake your spouse up from creaking. I would definitely stay here again and will if the owner changes out box springs.

Good but

The bed sagged. Needs a new mattress. It was hard for me to get comfortable. The fireplace did not work. That was a disappointment

BAMA Game Weekend

Fall Leaf Trip

This leaf season was the most beautiful Ive seen in a long time!! We are such fans of the Smoky Mountains National Park!! We always enjoy our stay at Whisperong Pines Condos! I reccommend this property to friends and family al all the time !!!

Disappointed in the professionalism

We was looking forward to staying two days before we was set to get into the road my husband had a very bad accident. The accident was so bad that he had to have two emergency surgeries. I called and explained what happened and that we wasn’t able to come. If we could just move the days around out could they offer us a refund. I was told that if I would have purchased the travelers insurance fora little more money that would have not been out of a bunch of money. Very disappointed especially since the surgeon offered to fax them a letter. I wouldn’t recommend

We apologize for any confusion with our policies and your recent conversations with our office. The day before your arrival, you contacted our office to cancel your reservation. We explained you were inside the cancellation period and did not have the Vacation Guarantee insurance. The policies were agreed to at the time of booking and again when you signed your rental contract. The insurance was also declined three times during your booking process online. As a courtesy, we did offer to allow someone else to come in your place. We also offered to release your reservation in hopes of re-renting it and refunding your stay. All of these options were declined and on your last call you stated you would be coming. We did keep the dates blocked per your request. We tried to call you on the day of arrival as well as the following day but did not hear back from you. Again, we do apologize that you were unhappy with the cancellation policies. However we did try to offer other options which were all declined. In the future, we do highly recommend the Vacation Guarantee insurance as it will cover any reason up to the day of arrival.
