Even 17 people is not a crowd at Destiny’s Lodge. The 3-story, 5-bedroom log-style home can accommodate that many overnight guests in both comfort and style, with amenities such as a hot tub, a pool table, an arcade, and glorious views making it much more than just a place to sleep in between hiking, horseback riding, and exploring nearby Dollywood.
When you drive up to Destiny’s Lodge, the first thing you’ll notice is how stately it is. The front decks overlook the woodlands; from the rear decks you can gaze out at the Smoky Mountains. You’ll find plenty of rockers so that you can start your day watching the morning mist rise from the mountains and end your evening stargazing as whip-poor-wills and tree frogs serenade you from the woods. And any time is a good one to luxuriate in the outdoor hot tub.
Several of the 5 bedrooms include doors that open directly onto a deck, so that you and your sweetheart can enjoy a nightcap in the silvery moonlight before cozying under the covers. The spacious primary suite, located on the top floor beneath a beamed cathedral ceiling, is especially pampering. There’s a lofty king-size bed, of course, plus a private bathroom and a TV. Even better is the electric fireplace—so inviting on a brisk winter evening. Best of all is the private jetted tub. We predict you’ll be finding plenty of excuses to turn in early and stay in bed late so that you can savor the luxuries of this suite.
A 2nd bedroom also has a king-size bed. Two more bedrooms each have a queen-size bed, and the 5th bedroom, furnished with single-over-double bunk beds, can sleep 3. Each room has its own TV with cable. Need more beds? Three of Destiny Lodge’s sofas open into beds for 2.
Each of the lodge’s 3 stories has a large common area where a small crowd can congregate. The lower level’s game room offers both a pool table and a multigame 2-player arcade. When you’re not playing a game you can watch one on the flat-screen TV mounted above a 2nd electric fireplace.
The loft has a sitting room with yet another plush sofa and TV. The sitting room’s table is equally well suited for poker night, working on a jigsaw puzzle with the kids, and indulging in a late-night snack.
The great room makes up most of the main floor. Like the rest of Destiny’s Lodge, it features lustrous wood-planked walls, floors, and ceilings, plentiful windows, and rustic yet refined furnishings. When you’re not cozying up by (yet another!) fireplace for après-ski drinks, you can sprawl out on the leather sofas to watch a movie on the flat-screen TV or curl up in the armchair to catch up on your reading.
The great room’s dining area seats 10 people: 8 at the log-style table and 2 more at the adjacent breakfast bar. On the other side of the breakfast bar is the kitchen. Equipped with stainless-steel appliances, marble countertops, and plenty of cookware and tableware, it can handle even a gourmet feast.
Destiny’s Lodge is located in the Covered Bridge Resort. In summer you’ll have free access to the outdoor swimming pool, and you can make use of its game room year-round. And while the lodge’s surroundings are blissfully serene, you’re only a few miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to the Titanic Museum, dinner theaters, WonderWorks, go-kart tracks, Alcatraz East Crime Museum, thrill rides, and more. Dollywood is just 15 minutes away, and you can drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in less than a half-hour. (Because this is mountain country, vehicles with 4-wheel drive or tire chains are strongly recommended in winter.)
Whether you’re exploring the local attractions or kicking back in the hot tub with family and friends, you’ll love it here at Destiny’s Lodge. Book your stay today; we look forward to seeing you.
