Description

What makes Take It Easy such a special cabin? It has three en-suite bedrooms, for starters, and can sleep twelve people in all. Its amenities include an outdoor hot tub, a home theater, and a pool table. Its two wraparound decks offer panoramic views of the woodlands, yet the cabin is just a five-minute drive to the Pigeon Forge Parkway. And perhaps most striking, with two full kitchens and dining areas, Take It Easy is especially well suited for two families vacationing together.

The great room makes up most of Take It Easy’s main floor. And what a great room it is, with a towering cathedral ceiling, lustrous wood-planked walls and floor, and large windows to let in plenty of sunshine. The two roll-arm sofas by the fireplace are sure to be popular spots for relaxing with an après-ski drink in winter or for watching TV after a day spent at Dollywood.

The great room also encompasses the main dining area. Six can sit at the dining table, and four more can belly up to the breakfast bar. On the other side of the breakfast bar is the main kitchen. Open and roomy, it is equipped with just about every appliance, gadget, pot, and pan you could possibly need.

Downstairs is the second kitchen, part of the game room. In addition to a full-size pool table and a foosball table, the game room also includes a dining area and a large sitting area with its own flat-screen TV. This set-up provides maximum versatility: The whole gang can hang out together, or if you’re vacationing with another family, you can each enjoy private meals and quiet time on your own. It really is the best of all worlds!

Also downstairs is the home theater. There are enough cinema-style seats for everyone to kick back and enjoy a movie together, with surround sound to enhance the experience. And if you get thirsty or need more popcorn, you can help yourself in the downstairs kitchen rather than run upstairs to the main floor.

Each of Take It Easy’s three bedrooms includes a king-size bed, a TV, and its own full bathroom. The loft bedroom has bunk beds as well as a king-size bed. You might want to have all the kids in your group commandeer this space; they’ll feel as if they’re on a camping adventure. One of the sofas in the great room opens into a bed for two, as does a couch in the game room—after all, the more the merrier!

With two huge wrap around decks, Take It Easy’s outdoor spaces are as accommodating as its interior. Savor your morning coffee outside on a rocker as wrens and warblers greet the day; enjoy appetizers and drinks as the sun sets; listen to the serenading owls beneath the star-studded sky before turning in for the night. And perhaps best of all, luxuriate among the steamy, massaging waters of the hot tub after a day of hiking, biking, or horseback riding.

As you relax with friends on the deck while the mountain breeze rustles through the trees, you might find it hard to believe that Take It Easy is just five minutes from the attraction-packed Pigeon Forge Parkway. But it is! That means you can get to everything from Dollywood to the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster to dinner theaters, in a flash. The cabin is also less than a half-hour from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Gatlinburg, whose attractions include Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Guinness World Records Adventure, and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.

When you stay at Take It Easy, you can enjoy your vacation your way. Explore the great outdoors one day, laze among the cabin’s luxuries the next, take in a show or do some shopping the day after. However you spend your time, you’re sure to make memories that last a lifetime. So don’t miss out: Book your stay today!

Watch the driveway!

Cabin is great, the driveway is steep and not in great shape. There’s no room to turn around, so make sure everyone in your group is okay either backing up or backing down the drive.

Nice, but needs attention!

Nice cabin with a good layout. The only issue with the layout was that you had to go through a bedroom to get to any of the bathrooms. Not sure how old the property is, but it needs some attention. The pool table is not usable and the furniture is in pretty bad shape. Table surfaces are ruined and dirty, and the couch downstairs is very broken down and uncomfortable. Many tiles are broken in all of the floors, and everything needs a deep cleaning. Most of the remotes had no batteries and none of the ceiling fans worked properly. The kitchen sink sprayer doesn't work and there are no bear proof containers for garbage, so something got into our garbage. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking, and there were no issues with the heat. We used the hot tub every day, but there seemed to be something wrong with the filter. The fireplace is purely cosmetic. All electric and the heat feature did not work. Theatre would probably be great if you had a bunch of kids and wanted to occupy them for a while. It was cold in there and would probably be hot in the summer since it was added on to the cabin. We did not use it. The TV was no bigger than the one in the basement. Not a horrible property, but we stayed over Christmas and paid top dollar so we would have liked to have had a top dollar cabin.

‘Take It Easy’ Lets you take it easy!

Overall, Take It Easy is a great cabin to come back to after a day in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or exploring the National Park. The cabin is great for a larger group and has room to spread out a bit with its two living spaces and kitchens.
