Now featuring Wi-fi internet! Rooster Ridge is a charming and rustic cabin located in the gated Shagbark Resort just 15 minutes for the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. This beautiful property is fairly easy to get to with only a short drive into the mountain and is perched perfectly in a private woodsy setting with a level driveway and parking for 3-4 cars. . The home features an open living area with a stone fireplace, queen sleeper sofa, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, and a king bedroom suite with Jacuzzi tub all on the main level. The lower level features another king suite, adjoining bathroom, and a game room perfectly set up for kids of all ages with a seating area, pool table, flat screen tv, gaming system and bunk beds. The 2-story back deck offers plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors and is complete with an outdoor dining area, hot tub for 6, and a bbq area. If outdoor activities are what you're looking for the resort offers a large swimming pool and tennis and basketball courts. This place offers something for everyone and is the perfect place to enjoy your Smoky Mountain Vacation!

Cancellation Policy

No shows will forfeit any monies put down.

All group stays (2 or more cabins), 4 bedroom stays and larger, and stays totaling $1200.00 or more must prepay their stay 30 days in advance. No refunds or changes for cancellation of these stays.

Other than those listed above, you can cancel or change your reservations with this host. Cancellation must be at least 30 days prior to arrival in writing. A $120 cancellation fee is deducted from prepayment, no exceptions. There are no refunds or cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival for any reason. All stays are prepaid 30 days prior to your arrival.

To change a confirmed reservation, you must give at least a 30 day notice to the host and stay within 6 months of original arrival date. A $35 fee will be charged and your stay must be prepaid in full and no refund if reservation is cancelled. Reservations that are changed with the host cannot be changed or cancelled for any reason. No credit will be issued for unused portions of time in case of late arrival or early departure.

Not what I expected

The one thing I really liked was being up in the woods and the peace and quiet. The cabin was a little disappointing. I read there were 2 full baths. A garden tun wasn’t my idea of full bath. I can’t take baths. Kneeling to take a shower was terrible. No internet service in this day and age is unheard of. We couldn’t find information or order tickets because of this. You should probably tell people the connection on phones is not very good. The bed on the main floor was the worst I have ever slept in. It squeezed and made terrible noises every time you turned over or moved a body part. The back screen door was off the track. Couldn’t leave the door open. When u flushed the toilets you could smell a sewer smell. My husband thought you may have had a hole in the stack. Also the directions to the cabin from the gate weeenr very clear. Said to turn right on stepping stone. There were 1 signs for stepping stone. You should put in the directions to go on the gravel road. Also the unfriendly guy that checked ya in was terrible. Said we didn’t have reservations. Knowing the service is terrible there he should have called the office and straightened it out instead he was RUDE and said you will probably have to go to the entrance to get service. I wasn’t impressed by him at all. Mark was his name and he should work the 3rd shift not first because he wasn’t a people kind of guy.

Isolated cabin without wifi

Upon entry to the cabin the place looked awesome, but I soon found out that it was not as clean as I first thought. The cabin is in need of a deep cleaning, dust was all under the furniture and rat droppings were in the drawers. The hot tub looked clean as well and my kids wanted to get in so bad. I allowed them to get in two times but then I noticed they had little red spots all over them. At first I thought it was bed bug bites but no one else had it so it had to be from the hot tub. Each time I sat on the couch I felt like I had bugs on me, I itched all over. Also, the cabin did not have WiFi and this was very inconvenient for me as I had planned on doing some work at night while the kids slept. I had to find a library where I could work which meant time missed with my family. Had I known that the cabin was so far away and so high up, it was a very scary drive for my kids, and that it did not have WiFi I would have never reserved it. Now I understand why it was so inexpensive. A deep cleaning will solve the bug problem I feel and if you don’t need WiFi then this place makes a perfect stay. I love that they have movies and and a record player with old records.

Thank you for sharing feedback about your experience with our cabin rental. All of our hot tubs are drained, cleaned and refilled after each guest departure. We do recommend showering before entering the hot tub, as any lotions or oils can alter the chemical balance of the tub. We are sorry for any inconveniences that you encountered during your stay with the hot tub and lack of wifi service at this cabin. This cabin does not offer wifi service as one of its amenities. It is usually better to call us directly, rather than book online to make sure the cabin has what you are looking for. We hope that you enjoyed your trip to the Great Smoky Mountains!

Last minute perfect vacation

We left South Carolina with no reserved nothing and stopped at a KOA . No vacant cabins.... Across the road I saw Aunt Bugs Cabins... I called from KOA parking lot and Ms. Patricia was very helpful. This ended up being the best vacation ever !!! Rooster Ridge was beautiful! We loved it and will be renting with them again. . 😊☺💙❤💚👍👍👍👍

Was ok but will try something else next time.

No trails to walk, no camp fires, the basketball and tennis courts are down and around crazy twisty roads. No net or anything to clean hottub. No drawers for clothes upstairs. Far from town. It was clean and provided one roll if toilet paper and one garbage bag to get you started.

We do provide every cabin a starter kit on toilet paper and trash bags and even there are not trails around the cabin I hope you did get to enjoy the trails in the National Park and got to see the majestic waterfalls. Horrible

Cute cabin on mountain top

Was OK- No wifi. No shower on main level. Inoperable coffee maker. Sub flooring in upstairs needs attention--very squeaky. Would highly recommend owner or rental agency check it out. Would not recommend this cabin.

Lovely Cabin, Location....another story!

The cabin was absolutely lovely and spacious! The grill was missing the 2 internal plates, so it was unusable and our $40 steaks had to be cooked inside. That was disappointing. The satellite remote for the gameroom downstairs was missing and that tv was stuck on FX. The bunk beds were not made. But all in all, it was a great cabin, but the location for us was a bit too high up. The Description of Location was not so descriptive. It said "in the woods", but in fact way too high up the mountain and scary road with twists and turns and no barrier walls for protection. I missed out on my children having fun in town the last 2 days of our vacation bc I wouldn't leave the cabin. The only way I was coming down that mountain was when we left! Very sad! We will return to the Smokey Mountains, but I will call first for locations. This is not an Aunt Bugs issue as I booked online at . The staff was helpful and sympathetic when we visited the office to check out and inform them of the issues. If this cabin was further below, I would book again and recommend it.
