Able to sleep 6 people and a pet or 2 as well, Fountain of Youth has something for everyone: a pool table, foosball, an indoor Jacuzzi, an outdoor hot tub, free WiFi, and satellite TV. And not only is it located alongside Caney Creek, but it’s also just minutes from both the Pigeon Forge Parkway and downtown Gatlinburg.
The spacious great room makes up much of the main floor. A cathedral ceiling and a double-height wall of windows add to its airy, open vibe. Plenty of cushiony leather seating ensures that everyone can gather together to watch a movie on the 50” plasma TV. The ceiling fan (along with central air-conditioning) keeps it cool in summer; in winter the stone-surround fireplace adds a cozy warmth as well as a golden glow that shows off the wood-planked wall and floors to perfection.
Six people can easily congregate around the dining table that sits beneath a beamed ceiling. The kitchen is equipped with everything from a full-size refrigerator/freezer and oven/stove to a blender and a coffeemaker, along with plenty of cookware and tableware. There’s even a dishwasher to make cleanup a snap. And speaking of conveniences, Fountain of Youth has its own washer and dryer too.
The first bedroom is the master bedroom on the main level. Furnished in the same elevated rustic style as the rest of the cabin, it includes a log-frame king-size bed, a TV, and a private bathroom.
The 2nd sleeping area is the upper-level loft. With a queen-size bed and a futon that opens into a bed for 2, this area can sleep up to 4 people. The large, open space is also where you’ll find the pool and foosball tables. The kids will beg to make this their bedroom. However, you might want to claim it for yourself. Not only are the bird’s-eye views of the surrounding woodlands lovely, but the loft’s bathroom features a jetted tub as well.
For a rejuvenating soak among steamy bubbles, you can also head outside to the upper deck’s hot tub. If there’s a more luxurious way to end the day than while lazing among massaging jets of water in the silvery shimmer of the moonlight, we’ve yet to discover it!
Both decks span the width of the cabin and look out over the creek. Kick back in one of the rockers with a beverage in hand, listen to the water bubbling over the rocks, and revel in the fresh Smoky Mountain breeze rustling among the trees. Relaxation is practically guaranteed.
Fountain of Youth also has a picnic patio alongside the creek to help you make the most of the luscious setting. You can dine alfresco at the table, then gather around the fire pit to keep warm—and roast marshmallows!—while admiring the constellations in the night sky. The trilling of whip-poor-wills and the hooting of owls form the perfect soundtrack for a magical evening you’ll long remember.
As if all this weren’t enough to make Fountain of Youth an idyllic getaway, there’s the cabin’s spectacular location. Within a 15-minute drive are Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Titanic Museum, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, WonderWorks, Gatlinburg Golf Course, and the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster. Downtown Gatlinburg is just as close; here’s where you’ll find Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokys, the Guinness World Records Adventure, and the tram that carries you over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.
One thing’s for sure: When you stay at Fountain of Youth, you’ll never be bored. Whether you want to ski, hike, ride horses, enjoy thrill rides, or simply unwind among nature’s splendor, you’re going to love it here. Don’t miss out: Book your stay today, before someone else beats you to it.
