Host Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.
Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Wonderful view of mountains. The cabin was very clean. My only complaint would be the pull out couch sofa bed was very uncomfortable had to sleep on the couch itself. But other than that the cabin was very nice.Would recommend to others? Yes
Our first time there
The cabin is very beautiful (like all of the others) with a fantastic view. The staff is very accommodating & sent someone right out when our dvd player didn't work. The tv though has horrible sound & makes talking in movies somewhat hard to understand. The sofa & love seat need to be replaced, they have no support & are very uncomfortable to sit on for very long. We took the mattress out of the sofa/hideabed & laid it on the floor w/ a "topper" which we were very glad that we brought along. It would be nice if a comfortable chair, side table & sm. lamp could possible be set in the corner of the basement for early risers that have no where to go if there's guests using the hideabed. Otherwise, we loved it, loved the view & hope to come back. We traveled there from MI and stayed here 3 nights, added on 1 more night & moved for the 4th night to 'above the mist' which we liked better. Same layout just a few nicer details (& tv for evening movies).Would recommend to others? Yes

The cabin was SO beautiful! I already miss it. I would 100% stay again and recommend it. The view was most definitely the best part. The location was nice too. It seemed like we were no more than 20 minutes away from all of the attractions. The cabin was very clean. I loved the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. My husband and I went for our anniversary. It's one of the best vacations we've ever had. I promise, you won't be disappointed.Would recommend to others? Yes

Great cabin will come again
The cabin is clean and in good shape. The view is great. The cabin is not too far away from Walmart (10 min drive I believe) or outlets and restaurants. Also great place for pokemon. There is a swimming pool on top of the property. The management company is warm-hearted. The only disappointing thing is that the water was cut off for 5 hours during our stay. We didn't have water for shower or cooking after one day hiking in the mountains. The maintenance guys were great and they stayed late (~10 pm) to help us solve the problem.Would recommend to others? Yes

Great location, but management company seriously lacking
We were on schedule to arrive right at 3p, regular check-in time, but had not heard from Elk Springs resort regarding a code to access our cabin. We were told it wasn't ready and we needed to give them some time. We went shopping for supplies and called again at 4p to check on our status (as we were pulling up the road to the cabin). We were told they were STILL running behind. Long story short, we got into the cabin without the code because the door was unlocked. The housekeeping crew had not been to the cabin, so the beds were not made, there were no towels, no toilet paper (glad I packed some!), etc. I continued to call hourly (as I was instructed each time I called to see when we might get supplies and linens) . . . we finally got them around 8:15p. Clearly that was not acceptable, but we had no recourse.The cabin itself was pretty nice, adequately furnished, but the rugs/carpets are FILTHY. They were so bad I told my kids not to go barefoot (especially the carpet on the stairs and downstairs). I did report this.I also had to report a hornet problem on the decks. I did not see a nest, but they sure were interested in us when we were sitting outside trying to enjoy the view and the hot tub.Another note is that the stairs into the cabin are very crooked (skewed?) so it seems a little hazardous, especially for small children or anyone trying to carry groceries or larger items into/out of the cabin.Once we were in the cabin and the housekeeping staff came by, we did enjoy our stay. The views are phenomenal and it's pretty quiet even though there are quite a few cabins in the immediate area.While we did enjoy our visit, we would definitely choose another resort (although this cabin was not on the resort grounds) or rental company since the cleanliness and management was not adequate.Would recommend to others? No

This is certainly not our standard. We are happy to report major changes have been made since your visit. The housekeepers that were with us at that time are no longer employed by us. You or your children should not have to wear shoes inside the cabin unless you choose to. This is unacceptable to us. The housekeepers that are currently assigned to this cabin are truly remarkable and care about the quality of their work, as they should. The carpets have been cleaned, many times since your visit as well. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional customer service. We believe in delivering open, honest communication to each of our guests. We sincerely apologize that you experienced these issues and hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to show you how a true Smoky Mountain vacation should be.
