Third Year Here

There were 33 in our Sunday School class who came to the retreat, this was the third time staying here. Obviously a lot of maintenance issues needed attention but I guess the situation that is going on with the facility now doesn't warrant itself to that. The most concerning thing was the septic system, tubs not draining well and commodes getting stopped up. There was raw sewage on top of the ground in the back. It is a great layout for our group and the location is great. I hope that it will fall into good hands and be improved upon. I was told the code would be sent to me at noon, it wasn't. I called at about 2:30 and they said it wasn't ready and would text to me. At 3:55 I had not heard from them and called and was given the code then. I would recommend as to the space and location but would hope some improvements are coming.

Yes, the previous management company was foreclosed on and the bank took over the facility. The bank was very generous in keeping the facility open and honoring reservations in spite of the fact that there was no money in reserve. We have never received any maintenance requests regarding septic or bathroom issues. The only needs that you brought to our attention were for a light bulb replacement and grill to be delivered. There has not been any issues with raw sewage. The bank has done a very good job of making the necessary repairs to the facility and the new owners of the Village will be doing some remodeling. We are sorry that we could not accommodate your request for an early check-in but our standard check-in is any time after 4:00PM. We never can guarantee that an early check-in request can be accommodated. We do the best we can but unforeseen circumstances can hinder them from being available early. We are all very excited about the plans the new owners have this resort and know that guests will enjoy the improvements. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your last stay but hope to see you again in the future so that you can fully experience our exceptional service.

Heritage Fellowship Women's Retreat

Again, the clean sheets need to be laid on the bunk beds for large groups. Also bottom floor carpets need to be replaced. The large conference room needs the sound worked on. Once maintenance came and set it up, you could not hear in the back. I am talking just the back half of the room where we were sitting during the speaking. If we had not packed our own portable sound then we would have been in a mess. If anyone was counting on that sound system for a large group they would not be happy.

OAK TREE LODGE

I have rented this cabin for 5 years now and have never been disappointed. A lot of space, very clean and a great location. However, if you are planning a trip during snow season please be aware. I was told that there is an HOA in this resort who would salt the roads for guest. This was NOT true during our visit. When we arrived we went to the front desk and asked about salting the roads before the snow came. They refused and only said they would salt our cabin sidewalks. They said they would only salt if the county enforced them to. Very disappointed because they had both the equipment and salt to help but chose to stay in their front office. We will go back, but I think you need to be prepared for this as a guest.

family reunion

over all it was a good experience. We had stayed here last year and was told that it was to be completely refurbished, but the only thing we saw was some new flooring and new refrigerators. The staff is very courteous and quick to respond to maintenance needs. I have rented it again for next year as more upgrades are coming.

large family vacation

A very enjoyable stay. We have been doing a large family vacation in the area for several years and this was our first stay with Eden Crest. Property needed a little fixing up but was very clean. Maintenance was taken care promptly and courteously. We understood Eden Crest had only recently acquired this property and plans for a complete upgrade before next season We have already reserved it for next year. Location is great.

Great for Corporate Retreat

Oak Tree Lodge #3 was perfect for our law firm retreat. The facilities were immaculate, the house looked newly renovated, and the layout was great. We had a lovely time. Anytime we called with a question, Eden Crest was quick to answer the phone and help with any issues.

Amazing Cabin

We had the best time with our group of 24! We come yearly for our Sunday school class marriage retreat. This cabin had amazing space, comfortable bed, fun game room and wonderful hot tubs. We will be back next year!

A Weekend with Sisters

We stayed in Cabin #3 last year and had a great time. This year was no different! The grounds and cabin were very nice and clean. Everyone agreed that it was an excellent place for a retreat.

2017 Five Day Young Family Reunion

We had a very enjoyable week. This is our 3rd time since 2011 ofstaying in the Oak Tree Lodge. We have had between 33 and 40 family members each time. The condition of the lodge is excellent. Each of us had our own private bed and bath. The property is clean well maintained. The customer service was excellent and prompt. I would recommend this location to any large group who wants to stay at one location. We enjoyed the activities provided by Eden Crest and all of the attractions near by.
