family reunion

over all it was a good experience. We had stayed here last year and was told that it was to be completely refurbished, but the only thing we saw was some new flooring and new refrigerators. The staff is very courteous and quick to respond to maintenance needs. I have rented it again for next year as more upgrades are coming.

2017 Five Day Young Family Reunion

We had a very enjoyable week. This is our 3rd time since 2011 ofstaying in the Oak Tree Lodge. We have had between 33 and 40 family members each time. The condition of the lodge is excellent. Each of us had our own private bed and bath. The property is clean well maintained. The customer service was excellent and prompt. I would recommend this location to any large group who wants to stay at one location. We enjoyed the activities provided by Eden Crest and all of the attractions near by.

Great for a Large Group

We had a great stay at Oak Tree Lodge. We had a large group of 50+ people. The only issue we had was with the linens, but after a quick call to house keeping the issue was quickly & easily resolved. We loved staying here and will again.

OAK TREE LODGE

I have rented this cabin for 5 years now and have never been disappointed. A lot of space, very clean and a great location. However, if you are planning a trip during snow season please be aware. I was told that there is an HOA in this resort who would salt the roads for guest. This was NOT true during our visit. When we arrived we went to the front desk and asked about salting the roads before the snow came. They refused and only said they would salt our cabin sidewalks. They said they would only salt if the county enforced them to. Very disappointed because they had both the equipment and salt to help but chose to stay in their front office. We will go back, but I think you need to be prepared for this as a guest.

Alright

The overall stay was ok. We were sent the wrong key code couple of times until we had to call and find out that it was wrong. The is a small ramp at the door that blends in with the wood which several people tripped over almost spraining their ankle. If they fixed those things it would have been better

Nice big house, need improvement on management

We just came back from a trip a couple of weeks ago. As a big group, we like this house. The upper level game room has an array of bunk beds, was a nice surprise. The overall house is clean. However, I think the property management team has some room to improve, especially in following areas,1. Client Communication is very poorI was told that I will get the lock code on the day of arrival. I concerned I might not have a good signal if I am in the mountains so I called them for lock code, they told me they will send text message to my phone after 4pm. And they will call to confirm I receive this message. Until 6pm, I haven't received anything, so I have to call again to get the code. During our stay, it is also very difficult to reach the office and staffs. All I can do is to leave them voicemail. 2. Almost no response from the maintenance teamOn the first day, we have found some house maintenance issues, for example, all the light bulbs are out and leave the parking lot really dark. ( we have many cars parked there and we had a minor collision ) I left a voice mail report this issue, but receive no response in 24 hours. After that, I called again and reached the maintenance line, they said they got the voice mail and the maintenance order is in place. And John will be come to our unit that day. So we have someone waiting in our unit and wait for him, but he never showed up. And we have never seen anybody from the office during our stay. The only thing they did is that someone took the trash away after we report trash bins were full.3. The check-in procedure says that we will receive some free tickets. I never seen the tickets during our stay. After I report the issue, someone call me and apologize for it, told me that there will be a person call me in a couple of days. And nobody called.If you just need a nice big house, close to smoky mountains, and have no expectation on house maintenance, this might be a good choic

large family vacation

A very enjoyable stay. We have been doing a large family vacation in the area for several years and this was our first stay with Eden Crest. Property needed a little fixing up but was very clean. Maintenance was taken care promptly and courteously. We understood Eden Crest had only recently acquired this property and plans for a complete upgrade before next season We have already reserved it for next year. Location is great.

Not Happy Group

Our ladies group has been staying at this resort for the last 12 years.2015 the place was very filthy, a promise was made that it would be clean this year. It was not, if anything, much worse. WE spoke to David with Eden Crest and sent pictures of the dirty, filthy place. No response.

Family Reunion at Oak Tree Lodge

We had 34 family members from all over the US at Oak Tree for a week. This is the second time we have rented this lodge for our reunion. It is in the perfect location to make everyone happy. Secluded enough to have some privacy, but close to all the activities you could want. Family was able to hit the hiking trails and river, go to Dollywood and shop the Island. The size of the lodge and the bathroom in each bedroom make it perfect for us. The main level is perfect for the family who were not able to maneuver the stairs, and the cousins loved the bunk room to stay in together. We enjoy being able to have dinner together at the huge table! Staff was pleasant and helpful from the booking to the departure. The couple small maintenance issues we had were taken care of promptly. Wish we could rent the lodge every year, but am sure we will be back for the next reunion!
