Great place for a Family vacation

We all enjoyed our stay in Eden Credt vacation rental.Kids had a wonderful time during our stay.Kitchen was awesome and it helps us to prepare our own food.

Horrible!!!!!!

My Vacation was great ! But the Cabin was not at all what it was told to be. There were no chairs in front porch. It listed a hot tub and there wasn't one. It also showed a ping pong table for entertainment and it wasn't there. Needless to say it was not very fun for my children. I will never use Eden Crest again to book my vacation. If I could get my money back I would ask for it !!!!!!!!!

Stayed before but NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

I rented this under the impression that the property had a Hot Tub.....False advertisement & we needed sheets for all the bunk beds and they did bring them also, the fireplace NEVER worked in the one room our guests were FROZEN!!!!!!I got up Sat. with a coffee pot that did not work and it was the outlets in the entire kitchen and called and got NO response to the complaint!!!!! I had to go and buy a pot immediately!!!!!! No one ever called after that to check on us. I DO NOT CARE WHO OWNS OR RENTS THIS PORPERTY IF YOU DO NOT TAKE CARE OF YOUR GUESTS THEN DO NOT RENT IT FOR ANYONE!!!!!!!!

We do apologize for the disappointment you experienced while staying with us. We regret to hear that you had any issues. Smokey Mountain Christian Village is bankrupt and is currently owned by the bank. The bank has asked us to manage the property and to rent all the units for them. The bank has allowed certain amenities to be offered and has taken other amenities away including all the hot tubs in each unit. Upon receiving your call for the issues of heat and the fireplace, we immediately made a work order and sent maintenance out to address those issues. Maintenance found that the heat was not turned on at the thermostat and that the fireplace just needed be to lit. Unfortunately, we cannot find any recordings of you calling to share your concerns about the coffee pots. Had we known about that issue, we would've had maintenance address that when they were there fixing the heat and fireplace. We truly regret that your last visit did not exceed all of your hopes and expectations. Our desire at Eden Crest is to try and provide all guests with a wonderful vacation experience. 2016 Youth Conference

We loved everything about how this cabin was setup. The layout was perfect to accommodate our group of 22 people. Had a very home away from home feel and was conveniently located to where the conference we were attending was located. Very helpful staff that was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you for making our stay successful. I would make one small suggestion to put some blinds in the bathroom windows for more privacy since there is a cabin on the hill behind it.

great for large group

The property was very well laid out inside for a large group. We had everything we needed. It was a little disappointing that the indoor fireplace was not connected for the season yet. It would also be good if use of amenities were explained on the website. We did not understand that the fire pit was not behind our unit or that we had to pay to use it. That would have been good to know. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely consider using this cabin again.

Upset over lack of technology!!

Arrived on Sunday, September 21--no phone, tv, or Wi-Fi. Very disturbing since I have a defibrillator which needs phone lines in order to download. I was unable to do this until late Wednesday evening when we finally got tv/phone service.We have stayed at Smoky Mountain Christian Village for many years--also other family members have stayed for years. We attended this year as a family of 7 to attend the NQC; very dissatisfied. Unless things change by next year, we will regrettably have to locate another rental unit.We realize that Eden Crest is doing their best to handle a poor situation. However, we feel strongly that guests should have been told in advance of problems with phone/tv. Then perhaps cancellations and/or other arrangements could have been made. We feel that we paid a considerable amount of money for such poor accommodations.

Disappointing compared to prior visits

The process of booking and confirming our reservation was very stressful. Every person told us something different. We had an unauthorized $1500.00 charge appear on our bank account (we were told it was a mistake and it was credited). We were told the pool was open/that it wasn't open, that it had a hottub/that it didn't, etc. etc. No one would return our calls. Based on that, we did not know if we could expect the prior wonderful experience. When we arrived, we found that there is no one onsite in the office. We called to report problems (fireplaces not working, no stopper in the bathtub, dishwasher not working, vacuum cleaner that was supplied has a badly frayed electric cord etc). We were told that someone would call us in the morning, but we did not hear from anyone during our 3 day stay. As we were leaving and had already checked out, someone was coming to look at the dishwasher. Since we were aware the property was in bankruptcy, we didn't expect everything to be perfect, but it would have been nice to have been able to feel we could get help when needed. We have stayed here multiple times before and were delighted with the staff and our entire stay. I hope that the new management company will soon be able to provide as good of an experience - especially in their communication. We look forward to being able to recommend this property again and being able to return ourselves once the problems are straightened out.

We do apologize for the breakdown in communication between us and the answering service we have after hours. The pools in the area close after Labor Day and is the normal for East Tennessee. We Do not turn on the fireplaces till mid October to the beginning of November. There has not been working Hot Tubs in the Smokey Mountain Christian Village since before we took over as the property manager and all left have been removed as we do not advertise Hot Tubs for this property. I truly regret that your last visit did not exceed all of your hopes and expectations. Our desire at Eden Crest is to try and provide all guests with a wonderful vacation experience. More positive than negative

Location is great and they let us check in early. Home was clean on surface but we thought it could use some deep cleaning, especially carpet and bedding. Appliances are really old(fridge was leaking water), very few trash bags were available. Pots and pans should be replaced as soon as possible
