Whether you’ve come for a romantic weekend or a family vacation, you’ll relish your stay at Dream Catcher. The 1-bedroom log cabin, which can sleep up to 6 people, rests amid the wonderfully wooded Alpine Mountain Village resort. When you’re not enjoying the hot tub, the pool table, or the other amenities of the cabin, you can saunter alongside the resort’s babbling streams, relax in the shade of its picnic pavilion, or in the summer, splash about in its swimming pool. What’s more, Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to restaurants and attractions galore, is only a half-mile away—you can even walk to it!

Perched on a level lot with parking for 2 vehicles, Dream Catcher has both a cozy front porch and a covered rear deck that spans the width of the cabin. From the deck’s chairs, you can gaze out at the towering trees and listen to the fresh mountain breeze rustle through the branches. Or savor the singing of the birds while you bask in the deck’s hot tub: It’s so easy to lose track of time while you’re relaxing in the steamy water and nature’s splendor.

Dream Catcher is just as serene inside. The wood-planked walls and floors glow in the sunshine that streams in through the numerous windows. The beamed cathedral ceiling adds to the airy sense of ease, as do the comfortable furnishings. The great room offers a choice of seating: The armchair and ottoman are perfect for kicking back with your tablet to surf the web (Dream Catcher has free WiFi); the sofa is ideal for watching a movie on the flat-panel TV; the chaise invites you to stretch out for a nap. In winter you can sip après-ski toddies by the stacked-stone fireplace; in summer the ceiling fan will cool you off when you return from a hike in the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Even if you decide to eat most of your meals in one of the many restaurants nearby, you’ll appreciate the convenience of having a fully-equipped kitchen at your disposal. There’s a coffee maker for brewing that all-important morning cup, a blender for whipping up milkshakes or margaritas, and just about every other appliance and gadget you can think of, along with plenty of cookware, tableware, and counter space. In addition to a dining table that seats 4, there’s a breakfast bar that seats 3 more.

Like the great room, the dining area, and the kitchen, the bedroom, and the bathroom are on the main floor. With a log-frame king-size bed, a charming beamed ceiling, French doors that open directly onto the deck, and a private Jacuzzi (ahhh!), the bedroom is a true haven. You could easily while away much of your stay in here!

Dream Catcher has a loft as well, where you’ll find a pool table, a supremely comfortable recliner, and a futon that opens into a bed for 2. And if you need to accommodate a couple more overnight guests, you can open the great room’s sofa—it converts into a queen-size bed.
The surrounding Alpine Mountain Village is impeccably maintained, with walking trails, streams, a play area for little ones, a swimming pool that’s open in the summer, a covered pavilion for alfresco dining—even a waterfall and a wedding chapel! The setting is so restful, it’s easy to forget just how close you are to all that Pigeon Forge has to offer, from Dollywood to music venues, outlet shopping to white-water rafting.

When you stay at Dream Catcher, your dream vacation can become a reality. So book your stay today; we look forward to seeing you!

If You want Internet Don't Rent from this company

Sorry i can't give a good review. I'd love to but was unable to use internet. I called in and they said they would call back and i never heard from them anymore.

Host Response (December 06, 2016):

We appreciate your feedback and review. We sent maintenance by (left a notecard) and determined the issue was related to the devastating wildfires that destroyed over 1,000 homes. As a result of these fires, many people lost everything they had and internet service was disrupted for many. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but happy to hear that you enjoyed the property other than that.

Less than expected

Well, the cabin was nice on the surface, but upon further inspection, there was much lacking. First, the fake gas fire place that did not work. I mean: we wanted a mountain vacation in a cabin. You think fireplace. Not gas insert that will not light up past the pilot light. Second, was the jacuzzi hot tub. It did not work. There was no power to the control panel, and the on/off knob just spun. Thirdly, went to cook dinner the first night in what was advertised as an equipped kitchen, but there was no cut board. We had to go buy one. That was annoying. I know what your response is: why didn't we call maintenance to come fix our problems? Well, why did the cabin company not have everything in working order before a guest arrived? Why would you not test out all the equipment and amenities to make sure your guest is arriving to the best vacation experience possible? Needless to say, we will not be using this company again. If you care so little as to not prepare your vacation rentals, why do you deserve my business?

Host Response (December 01, 2016):

Thank you for your review and feedback. The cutting board was located in the upper cupboard to the right of the fridge. With regards to the hot tub, a surge we had due to the storms did trip the breaker. The fireplace operates on a switch to the right of the fireplace and was fully operational your whole stay. All of the issues could have been easily resolved and none could have been prevented pre-arrival. As other reviews of this cabin and our company mention, we provide five-star level service. Unfortunately, you did not see the switch to turn the fireplace on, did not call us about the hot tub (electrical surge that could not be prevented), and did not see the cutting board. We understand you have many choices of lodging companies here in the area and are thankful that you chose us.

My girlfriend and I have never been to the Smokey Mountains and we're very excited to come stay. Our experience was amazing from the time we are arrived to the time we left. The cabin was very clean and had everything a weekend getaway needed. The neighborhood was clean and very quiet. There were no problems what so ever. I'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Also sadden to hear that this cabin might be in the terrible forest fires path. We send our prayers and wish the best from Ohio. Thank you again!

Great location - very nice facility,

We truly had a great time. The place is beautiful. I would suggest updating the tv's, they are quite small and on those nights you just want to stay in; they should be updated. It is perfect for 2 people; and possibly a family with little kids, or a group of friends. There is not a view of the mountains from this property since things are built up around it; which was a bummer. The property could have been cleaner.....and if you are staying a week it could have included more amenities especially for the price (paper products, soaps, etc)

Host Response (November 02, 2016):

Thanks for the five-star review! The living room has a large flat screen TV and we will consider replacing the other TVs in the near future. Were you expecting a view? Our listing clearly states wooded view and none of the photos depict a mountain view. Thanks and come back soon!

Mini Vacation

The cabin was in a great location 5 min off the main drag quick to get to all the places and was very clean. The view was wooded instead of to the mountain so that is the only thing I can say I wish we would have had.

Host Response (October 26, 2016):

Thanks for the five-star review and positive comments. Yes, you are correct that the view is wooded (as pictures depict) and not of mountains. The location, which is less than one mile from the Parkway, is absolutely ideal though isn't it? Come back soon!

Beautiful Home

Great experience in this cabin. In fact, it was the second time we've stayed here. The location is convenient and very easy to find, and just a short trip (traffic excepting) to Gatlinburg and hiking. The only real complaint is the bed. When one person moves even slightly, the entire bed shakes. The mattress and/or box spring should be replaced.

Host Response (October 27, 2016):

Thanks for the four-star review and coming back a second time to Dream Catcher! We appreciate the comments and will look into replacing the bed. Come back soon!
