Only recently opened, Sherwood Splash Lodge can sleep up to 52 people in its 11 bedrooms. Just as important, its huge dining area can seat the whole crowd at one time, its impressively equipped kitchen can accommodate multiple chefs to cook for the entire gang, and the lodge offers luxuries including an indoor pool, 2 hot tubs, and a home theater that seats 33 people.
Located within the gated Sherwood Forest Resort, the 3-story lodge is less than 2 miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway. That means you can easily and quickly drive to all the local must-see attractions, from Dollywood to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There’s plenty of parking too: room for 10 vehicles right on the property and an adjacent lot that can accommodate additional cars and even buses.
Spread out among the lodge’s more than 8,500 square feet, the 11 bedrooms (each of which has a TV) allow for flexible sleeping arrangements. The top floor includes 4 bedrooms, one bedroom with a king-size bed, another bedroom includes a queen-size bed, and the remaining two bedrooms supplies a pair of king-size beds. The main level provides 4 bedrooms as well. Two of the main level bedrooms offer king-size beds and the other two bedrooms offer a pair of king-size beds. The lower level at Sherwood Splash offers 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms supply 2 sets of queen bunks for each bedroom. The third bedroom furnishes 1 full-sized bunk bed and 1 twin-sized bunk bed. In case that’s not enough, 2 sofas in the great room and 2 in the upstairs sitting room open into queen-sized sleepers.
Many lodges that can sleep dozens of guests don’t have a dining room large enough to seat them all for a meal. Sherwood Splash Lodge does. You don’t have to eat in shifts when you stay here: The dining room is massive, with enough table and chairs for everyone. Likewise, the kitchen is equipped to cook for and serve a crowd. Along with an oversized fridge/freezer, it includes 2 oven/stoves, 2 microwaves, 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, and lots of gadgets, cookware, and tableware—plus more than enough counter space and elbow room to accommodate multiple cooks.
The dining area shares a double-sided fireplace with the great room. This bright and open space boasts a double-height ceiling, a flat-panel TV, and what might be some of the most comfortable seating you’ve ever kicked back on—rivaled only by the coaches in the upstairs sitting room. Then again, the 33 cinema-style seats in the downstairs home theater are plenty comfortable too!
When you’re not watching a movie on the home theater’s large projection screen, you can shoot some pool or play arcade games in the game room next door. Or head down the hall to the lodge’s private, indoor in-ground pool. While the resort has its own pool that you can use, it’s open only in the summer. Here you can splash about year-round!
You could easily while away most of your stay on Sherwood Splash Lodge’s 2 covered decks, which encompass nearly 3,000 square feet. Multiple picnic tables let you dine alfresco, and there are numerous porch rockers for kicking back to listen to the songbirds in the morning or to gaze up at the stars at night. And especially after a day of hiking, rafting, golfing, or skiing, you’ll love luxuriating in one of the 2 hot tubs on the lower deck.
Whether you’re here for a family or class reunion, a church or youth group outing, a corporate off-site meeting, or a vacation with several other families, you’re sure to have a blissfully memorable time when you stay at Sherwood Splash Lodge. Book your stay today, and you’ll be the hero of your entire group!
