The 3-bedroom cabin can sleep, 8 people. Two of the bedrooms, located on the main floor, feature queen-size beds and TVs, making Absolute High suitable for several couples as well as for a family. The 3rd bedroom, in the loft, is a suite you may never want to emerge from. In addition to a sumptuous king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, a roomy armchair for curling up with a good book, and a private bathroom, the suite has a large jetted tub. Talk about pampering! Additional guests can sleep in the great room: One of its leather sofas converts into a queen-size bed.
You don’t have to be in the master suite to relish a rejuvenating soak among steamy bubbles. Absolute High’s covered rear deck has a hot tub of its own. The deck has a dining area as well, so that you can savor dinner or drinks while the mountain breeze rustles through the trees—and on summer days when the breeze isn’t enough to keep you cool, you’ll really appreciate the deck’s ceiling fan. The covered front porch looks out onto Mount Bluff. You can take advantage of the view from the rocking chairs or the porch swing.
The oversize windows of the double-height walls let you admire the views from indoors as well. Just don’t let the sight of the towering trees distract you from your pool game in the loft’s game room! In addition to the full-size billiard table, the game room features an arcade loaded with classic games including Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Donkey Kong.
The main level’s great room is another inviting space for everyone to gather. Pile up on the leather couches to watch TV, gather by the stone-surround fireplace for après-ski drinks, nestle on a bench with a book: The living area is designed for RnR.
The great room’s dining table can seat 6 people with room to spare, and the adjacent breakfast bar can accommodate 2. The breakfast bar also serves as a handy counter for meal prep; your sous-chefs can help with the slicing and dicing—or at the very least keep you company while you cook. Whether you’re preparing a gourmet feast or mixing midnight margaritas, you’ll find all the appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware you’ll need in Absolute High’s open, spacious kitchen. There’s a charcoal grill outside as well, perfect for cooking up trout you reeled in yourself from a nearby stream… or steaks you bought from the local supermarket.
Absolute High is part of the Covered Bridge Resort, located in quiet, bucolic Wears Valley. When you stay here in the summer, you can swim in the resort’s heated outdoor pool and lounge on the poolside deck. As you drive through the covered bridge spanning Waldens Creek that gives the resort its name, you’ll be charmed by the serenity of the surroundings. At the same time, the location is surprisingly convenient. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Waldens Creek Stables, where in addition to riding horses you can fish in a large stocked pond and enjoy a Wild West cookout and show, are both 10 minutes away. And in 20 minutes you can drive to Dollywood and the numerous attractions of the Pigeon Forge Parkway.
When you stay at Absolute High you can lounge amid the singing of wrens and warblers one day, scream yourself silly on thrill rides the next, and bike or hike along the Smoky Mountains the day after. Most important, you’ll be making magical memories that you and your family will long treasure. So book your stay today; we’re looking forward to seeing you.
