Blaine’s Bar and Grill has the best of both worlds in the sense that it’s a family friendly restaurant but also offers a bar area for those wanting to eat, drink, and catch a football game. If you don’t want to give up your view of the the main strip in Gatlinburg, Blaine’s has a covered patio with booths along with a bar rail where you can enjoy your food and never miss a beat of the action happening outside. You’ll always have something new to look at while you’re eating here seeing that Blaine’s has different signs and pictures covering the walls all around the restaurant. The menu is sure to have something for everyone with an overall American food theme while also containing Italian, Mexican, and sea food options.

The majority of food from Blaine’s is made fresh daily and is cooked to order. The endless options of appetizers, entrees, and sides will make it hard to choose, especially when they all sound so good, but rest assured you will not be disappointed in whatever decision you finally make. You’ll be surprised by the reasonable price tags when you see the portion of food you’re served.

In case the large menu has you stumped, here are some of our favorites:

  • The Black Bear Burger– Say hello to a half pound of angus beef, shaved roast beef, sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, and swiss cheese all piled up on a sesame bun. If you’re hungry after eating this mini buffet on a bun, you may be a bear.
  • Chicken Parmesan Penne– We guarantee you’ve never had pasta quite like this before. With perfectly cooked pasta covered in a mix of marinara and fettuccini sauce along with some fried chicken tossed in and served with a side of garlic bread, this dish will satisfy any pasta lover.
  • Smoky Mountain Grill– This sandwich takes chicken up a notch. You’ve got grilled chicken, smoked bacon, bbq sauce, and jack cheese all harmoniously combining to form one great chicken sandwich.

The atmosphere in Blaine’s is relaxed and fun. In addition to the four TVs placed over the bar, there are multiple TVs placed around the dining room in case you want to sit at a table but still see who’s winning the game. In addition to the main bar located on the second floor, where the main dining room is located, there is a sports bar on the third floor that houses various TV’s playing multiple sporting events. There’s always background music playing, usually with hits from the ’90s and 2000s, creating a fun and carefree environment to enjoy your food in.

The servers at Blaine’s are friendly and meet the needs of their guests in a timely fashion. Blaine’s is unique in that there are people specifically to run food to tables, so servers are better able to take care of the needs of their guests.

Located on the corner of stoplight number 8, Blaine’s couldn’t be anymore centrally located to the hubbub of downtown Gatlinburg. With its three levels overlooking the strip, you cannot miss Blaine’s when walking down the street.

Insider tip: For those wanting to get their party on on the weekends, Blaine’s is the place to go. Blaine’s turns into a 21 and over dance club on Friday and Saturday nights starting around 11 and closing at 1 am. Don’t come hungry because your only ordering option is going to be beers and cocktails. Get ready to dance with laser lights and music from a live DJ who takes requests. There is a $3 cover charge at the door. If you’ve eaten at Blaine’s earlier in the day, save your receipt and you’ll get in for free.

For big groups: Blaine’s does not take reservations, call aheads, or incomplete seating of a party, so be prepared for a small wait if you’ve got a large number of people wanting to eat.

Sports Bar: The sports bar is only open on Saturdays as a general rule. Occasionally it will be open on Fridays, but usually it’s just Saturdays.
