A two-bedroom, two-story townhouse, Nana’s Retreat can accommodate two couples as comfortably as it can a family—even a family that wants to bring its pets along. Though it feels far from the crowds and the traffic, you’re only minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community. And, if you’re a golfer, you’ll really love it here: The home sits on the 15th fairway of the award-winning Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by the legendary Gary Player.
One of a cluster of townhouses conveniently close to the Parkway that connects Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge, Nana’s Retreat is within the Brandywine neighborhood near the Bent Creek Golf Course. Meanwhile, at your townhome, you’ll appreciate having two patios – one off the ground level and one an upstairs balcony – to utilize any time of year. The latter of which is connected to the primary suite. Early in the morning you can roll out of your queen-size bed, step out onto the balcony and marvel at the sunrise before returning to the cozy comfort of the blankets. In the evening, you and your sweetie can savor a nightcap as owls and tree frogs serenade the star-studded sky. So blissful!
The cozy living area features a stone-surround fireplace and plush furniture. There’s enough seating so that everyone can gather together while still being comfortable. Watch a movie on the flat-screen HDTV with cable, surf the web via the free Wi-Fi, play Uno with the kids or enjoy hot cocoa and charades by the fireplace. The important thing is that you’re all together, making memories you’ll long cherish! A convenient half-bath is also located on the ground floor as well as space for two additional guests thanks to the full-size sleeper sofa.
Just off the living area is the dining table, which easily seats six people. On balmy evenings you might want to take your meal outside to the patio table; the fresh mountain breezes make everything taste just a bit more special.
The kitchen of Nana’s Retreat sparkles with stainless-steel appliances and ample counter space. From a blender (perfect for whipping up margaritas!) and crockpot for easy meals to a full array of cookware and tableware, the kitchen has it all. Other amenities include a washer and a dryer, portable crib and three baby gates. There are even walking canes, which could come in handy when you’re hiking the Smoky Mountains.
Located on the upper floor of Nana’s Retreat, the spacious primary suite includes plenty of storage and a flat-screen TV. So does the second bedroom, which has a queen-size bed as well. Because there’s a full bathroom for each bedroom, you can enjoy a lengthy pampering session without a line forming on the other side of the door.
When you’re not hiking, another way to explore the mountains is via zip line at Climb Works, just down the road from Nana’s Retreat. The townhome is also only a short drive to the recently built Gatlinburg SkyBridge, the country’s longest pedestrian bridge, which reaches 140 feet at its highest point. Also close by are the other attractions of downtown Gatinburg including Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery and the Anakeesta outdoor amusement complex. Even closer is the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, a trove of more than 100 galleries, shops and studios. And let’s not forget neighboring Pigeon Forge, whose attractions include Dollywood and Parrot Mountain & Gardens.
Whether you’re vacationing with family or friends, an outdoor-lover or a theme-park aficionado, in search of excitement or seeking R&R, you’ll find Nana’s Retreat an ideal home base. Book your stay today; we’re looking forward to seeing you!
