I was looking for an affordable place to stay for 3 nights, and Laurel Inn showed up on the search engine. I was already in Gatlinburg so I went to the property and was greeted with a good morning and a smile. 5 minutes later I was unpacking my stuff in a nicely decorated condo that had a living room a kitchen a bedroom (king size bed) a bathroom and a jakuzee tub. And for what I spent it was well worth it, I felt like I stole it from them, since I had paid almost twice that much for a hotel. I enjoyed meeting the staff, and the condo had plenty of towels and the water was hot and the place was very clean. This is now my go to Gatlinburg spot. They also have washing machines and dryers on site. And so close to town. Thank you Laurel Inn for an awesome stay. DavidWould recommend to others? Yes
The registration was very easy and simple. Room was clean and quiet. We were not able to get the A/C of the heat pump to come on and don’t know why. It probably was the first time for the season for it to come on, but we couldn’t get it to do so. We simply opened the windows at night and managed. 2nd minor issue is the hot water heater doesn’t have enough capacity for the huttub. Those two issues were minor for us, as we just accepted it, but they are areas that could be addressed for an even greater experience.Would recommend to others? Yes
Small but adequate
This unit was NOT organized for maximum comfort, but it was adequate. Despite the many problems, I might stay there again. Too few flat surfaces on which to put things -- I ended up storing my open suitcases on the edges of the very large jacuzzi. The kitchen counter space is almost non-existent -- I ended up draining dishes over the stove knobs. (There is no dishwasher.) Contrary to what the office told me, there IS a toaster, but you have to find it and plug it in. I found the alarm clock plugged in to a switched outlet, so had to set it a couple of times before I figured out how to re-wire. Glad I brought my own pillow, because the ones provided were terrible. The back stairs come out in the middle of nowhere, and the first street encountered (Reagan Drive) has no street sign. Good exercise, if you're up to it -- 6 stories to the 100 level. I was woken up early one day by yard work, another day by a parade, but otherwise pretty quiet. The office closes at 5:00 pm most days, so be sure to ask for a late check-in if you need it.Would recommend to others? Yes
