No-frills, ideal location for visiting Gatlinburg
The main streets of Gatlinburg are busy and noisy, so being a short walk away from downtown was nice, as was the view from our private balcony. The condo was clean but shabby: lots of plastic and cheap construction with some things (bathroom fan, lamps, etc.) not working. There's a fridge, two burners, sink, microwave and toaster oven but not enough room or equipment for more than the most basic meals (just a warning for those who want to avoid eating out). The pool was covered and closed off--a big disappointment, which we were not informed of prior to our stay. People are allowed to smoke outside the property, so if you open your balcony windows for fresh air, you will inevitably get cigarette odor in your room. Gatlinburg itself is very walkable and close to the national park trails, but it was shocking to see the Confederate "battle flag" and other racist items displayed in many shops and worn openly by other tourists.Would recommend to others? Restful stay with view of mountains and Historic Nature Trail
We came for regional bridge tourn. It was a pleasant qtr-mile walk to Convention Ctr thx to nice staircase w/handrails in back of condos. We were warned not to walk back at night bc of the black bears, & we actually saw one cross the road on our way back to condo 1 nt. Luv the max efficiency with which this condo is appointed - shelf stand w/caddies abv toilet, TVs mounted on wall, table w/fold-down sides, tall shelf for misc appliances, galley kitch w/full-sz frig & icemkr. We brought our pre-cooked food & heated in m/w - saved a lot of money over eating out. Bridge tourn keeps you very busy so not much sight-seeing for us, but we LOVE the area. Condo 509 has a comfy king bed, an “okay†sleeper sofa & f/p.Would recommend to others? Yes
Quick trip for the weekend
This property 509 was spotless and well appointed. The best condo unit we have stayed in. The only thing was that we couldn't get the shower to turn on. When we notified the manager, the manager already knew there was a problem before and did not tell us. You have to pull extremely hard on the shower faucet for water to come on. Other than that everything was great and we had a good time. Will definitely be back to stay here.Would recommend to others? Yes

We have been repeat customers over the past several years. Lynda at the front desk is always so friendly, knowledgeable and will do whatever she can to assure your stay is a wonderful experience. Our room is always clean and the location is within a short walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg. We have also noticed several upgrades to the property over the past few years.Would recommend to others? Yes

Annual Wedding Anniversary Trip
We had one of the best vacations in the Smokies in a long time. This was our 20 year wedding anniversary. We got married in Gatlinburg 20 years ago, and we come back every October. Our only concern is the lighting on road at night. We are walkers, and never felt unsafe, just needed the light to guide the way.Would recommend to others? Yes
We have stayed at Laurel Inn for the past 4 years during our vacations. This is the first we've stayed in unit 509. As we have found the rooms in the past, this unit was clean, updated, amply supplied, with a comfy bed and great view. Lynda at the front desk is very helpful and accommodating as always. We enjoy hiking in the park, white water rafting etc. and the music downtown. The town itself could use new venues, ie; entertainment, theatres, and eateries instead of the repeated moonshine stores. We love the original Ole Smokey Moonshine store.Would recommend to others? Yes
