Skybox Views - Gatlinburg Cabin

This cabin was absolutely beautiful! There were 4 of us staying, there was plenty of room. The arcade games were fun to play spent a few hours each day upstairs playing them. We would totally stay there again. The view was amazing and it was quiet.

The cabin itself was beautiful and the was awesome! However housekeeping failed us. We have been coming to Gatlinburg for over 20 plus years and we have never experienced water bugs. Now I get that another guest may have brought them but the cabin needs to be cleaned thoroughly and sprayed for bugs. They were all in the cabinets and little tiny ones on the dining table. There was sticky stuff on the stool in the loft area as well as the kitchen floor. Housekeeping is not keeping the us up. I emailed Bear Tracts reservations about our experience and never heard anything from them. Hopefully the next guest had a better experience as we bought bug spray and spray the areas were we saw them the most.

Probably one of the best locations in all of Gatlinburg. Ten minutes from the Smoky Mountains main entrance, 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg (if you like that kind of thing), 5 minutes from the Craft Loop...the location could not have been better. The views were magnificent from all three balconies and it felt like you owned the mountains. We even saw a bear walking outside the cabin one night while playing pool and another morning we woke to find our car door open with a bear paw print on the front seat and some missing food items from the car. We can't figure out if a bear opened the door or if we left it open on accident. Anyway, made for a great picture and an even better story.
The two negatives about the stay were that the living room furniture was pretty uncomfortable for relaxing on and the cleanliness of the cabin was questionable. For what we paid, other places we have stayed have been far cleaner and better maintained. Not that it was just wasn't as clean as it should be. There should not be open soap bars on the floor even in a spare bathroom. The baseboards should not have visible dust. Kitchen pans should look new. It was more like staying at a friend's house and less like staying at a VRBO. And while I could have contacted management to fix the issues, I really didn't want to disrupt our trip or have someone in the house during our stay. So, this is not on them but they should have a little more oversight of their cleaning crews.
The view and the location deserve 5 stars, while the cleanliness only warrants 4 stars. The mountains, however, warrant a million stars.

What a great views of mountains and roads and buildings. Clean, easy access, 5 min from Gatlinburg downtown.

We had such an awesome experience at SkyBox Views! Amazing views from the cabin and local attractions were all within a 5 minute drive. Would’ve loved to enjoy a cup of coffee from the balcony; however, coffee was not provided. Hot tub was clean and warm upon our arrival. Overall, had an excellent time. The best location to relax and catch up with long time friends.

The views from the cabin were gorgeous. There was a generous amount of space and we loved the open floor plan. It’s a newer house so it’s definitely got nice fixtures and details. It seemed clean enough, no issues there. The theater room was a bummer for the kids. The chairs sit so upright they lean you forward so they didn’t spend much time in there. Neither of the video games worked either. The driving one would work for a little bit, but then the screen would just go black or blue. We tried unplugging it and it would work shortly, but then the screen would go black again so we just stopped playing it. The pac-man style game also didn’t work. The pool table was nice and we enjoyed the hot tub. Keep in mind the hot tub takes a long time to heat up!! It’s very close to downtown Gatlinburg- not walking distance, but a short enough drive. If you’re visiting with a group of adults, this cabin is a great choice, but if you’re visiting with kids, there are better kid friendly options in this price range.

The home was just as described and very well appointed. We had a couple of issues when arriving but called the number and it was taken care of promptly and with great customer service!

We enjoyed the stay! Great place with beautiful mountain views.
