Located at the base of the Smoky Mountains alongside a gurgling stream, Cottage on the Creek is an ideal place for a couple or two couples to enjoy a forest getaway. There is so much to love about this cottage, starting with the huge wraparound deck where you can sip a glass of wine while you listen to the birds sing and the creek tumble over rocks on its way to lower terrain.
When you pass through the front door, you’ll enter the cavernous great room that encompasses the living room and dining area. Your eyes will immediately be drawn to the electric fireplace and the handsome stone that rises clear to the high ceiling. Warm-toned pine walls give Cottage on the Creek a cozy cabin feel and comfortable over-stuffed furniture is situated to give a great view of the TV. You have both cable and a DVD player within Cottage on the Creek. There’s also free Wi-Fi, which is a huge help when checking out restaurant menus online or making plans to visit area attractions. You’ll like the large windows in the great room that open onto the deck, letting the mountain breezes in for all to enjoy.
Up the staircase you’ll find the loft with a king-size bed for two guests and a treasure trove of retro Nintendo games, a vintage Space Invaders arcade game, comfy couch, and large TV.
You have multiple dining options at Cottage on the Creek. Of course, you can dine in around your handsome dining room table, take your meals out to the deck to enjoy around the large table, or make the short trip into Gatlinburg where you’ll find a host of excellent restaurants.
You have a fully equipped kitchen at your command and a charcoal grill on the deck in case you want to sizzle up some steaks.
The large Cottage on the Creek deck includes a hot tub where you can let the warm waters pull the last ounce of stress from your limbs. The hot tub feels especially great if you’ve spent the day swinging clubs at Bent Creek Golf Course, the Gary Player-designed course that’s close to the cottage.
Cottage on the Creek is located in the popular Cobbly Nob neighborhood, which means you have access to two outdoor pools. You are also close to Climb Works where you can explore the mountains by zip line or mountain bike. Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Pigeon Forge are also a short drive away.
You’ve spent your day in the mountains and when night comes you’ll be more than ready to slip off to your master bedroom that’s outfitted with a king-size bed. Just off the master bedroom you’ll find the Cottage on the Creek bathroom with a large shower.
