This program entitles our guests to one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like Dollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, and more. The beauty of a vacation in the Smokies can only be enhanced by its remote location and solitude! Therefore, please be advised that the WIFI in this area is unstable. A modern cabin with cathedral ceilings, log beams, hardwood floors and wood-paneled walls, Closer to Home has the ambiance of a rustic lodge. Ideal for large families, groups of friends or even corporate retreats, this two-level home offers multiple living spaces decks, a furnished deck on each level, and accommodations for up to 14 guests. An open floor plan on the main level creates a seamless flow between the great room, kitchen and dining area, with natural light flooding the space through floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors, which lead to an expansive, wrap-around deck. In the great room, a full-length leather sofa offers a front-row seat to the large-screen TV, while two cozy armchairs invite you to curl up by the stacked-stone fireplace. The adjacent 10-seat dining table offers dinner with a view, overlooking the deck and mountains beyond through a wall of glass. You'll find three additional seats at the kitchen breakfast bar. Fully equipped with modern appliances, granite countertops and a spacious island, the kitchen is sure to inspire home-cooked meals. A charcoal grill on the front porch will broaden your menu, while two log picnic tables -- one on the upper deck and one in the front yard -- invite you to dine al fresco. On the lower level, a second living area offers evening entertainment with two plush sofas, a second fireplace, and a flat-screen TV with cable. Sharpen your pool game on the full-sized table or bring your favorite board games to enjoy a screen-free night around the card table. All bedrooms also feature a ceiling fan, high-definition TV, en-suite bath and ample storage. Two primary suites feature king-sized beds, while the guest bedrooms each have two queen-sized beds, sleeping four in each room. A queen sleeper sofa offers additional accommodations for two. As a guest of Closer to Home, you'll also enjoy the convenience of a private washer and dryer, and a private, over-sized hot tub on the lower deck with room for up to six people. You'll also have access to the amenities of Black Bear Falls Log Home Community, including a clubhouse with heated adult and children's swimming pools, available for summer use. After a swim, lounge on a poolside chaise or retreat from the sun at a table on the covered patio. For adventures beyond your mountaintop perch, take advantage of ample parking to explore the surrounding area, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, family-friendly restaurants and more, all within a 15-minute drive. >This cabin has parking for 2 vehicles. Host Cancellation Policy

This host gives 100% refunds of booking deposits within 72 hours of booking (Unless booking within seven days of the day of your arrival).

A 25% deposit is required in order to confirm a booking. The final balance of the total cost of the booking, including but not limited to accommodations, outfitting, services and extras, is required 30 days prior to your arrival date. If a booking is made less than 30 days before your arrival date, full payment will be due immediately when making the booking.

If you cancel within 72 hours of booking, you receive a 100% refund from host. However, if you book within seven days of the day of your arrival, no refunds are available, regardless of the 72 hour window. No other refunds will be given outside of 72 hour window. If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the day of your arrival, you will receive a credit in the amount of your host deposit to be used toward a future stay at one of the Hosts properties occurring within one year of your original date of booking. If you cancel within 30 days of the day of your arrival, you will receive no refund and no credit toward a future stay.

Closer to Home Cabin

The house was beautiful. We had a few issues, but enjoyed our stay. It was freezing the week we were there and the beds didn’t have the quilts on them as shown in the pics. They all had super thin blankets, seemed like what usually goes under the top comforter. We requested more blankets and they were brought to us promptly. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom didn’t work and the fireplace In the main living room had an issue where it wouldn’t stay on. We reported it and a tech came to check it out but it was a part that needed to be replaced that he didn’t have. We had 9 people but the kitchen only had 8 forks so one of us always had to eat with a spoon. Overall it was a good property but could use a few fixes.
