Versatility is the watchword of this charming, two-story house with hot tub, Jetted Tub, game room, decks, and fireplace. Separate entrances on each floor of Mountain High View mean self-contained privacy for your large group!

The upper story is the heart of Mountain High View, with soaring ceilings, huge windows, and an inviting interior that may convince you to forgo the attractions of Gatlinburg for just one or two nights in favor of family time at home. You will make wonderful new memories here!

The design is open-plan, so the kitchen and dining area segues into the living space seamlessly, keeping everyone together even when part of your group is watching a show on TV while others whip up a tasty snack in the fully appointed kitchen. In addition to the long, beautiful wood dining table for six, a handy bistro table sits bathed in sunlight in one corner of the room, just right for morning coffee, quick games of gin rummy, and uploading vacation pics onto laptops and tablets. (You have free WiFi at Mountain High View.) You will love this little niche, with its breathtaking views in multiple directions.

The living area is welcoming and spacious, with a sofa, three huge recliners ideal for impromptu napping, a TV with cable, a DVD player and VCR, and a gas fireplace situated so that everyone in the room can enjoy its warmth and light. Soft carpeting encourages the kids to sprawl on the floor with their toys, while the grown-ups enjoy a frothy blender drink and unwind after a busy day in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Anakeesta, or downtown Gatlinburg.

The kitchen at Mountain High View is terrific for large groups. You'll find all the cookware, dishes, utensils, and gadgets you could wish for, plus full-sized appliances and countertop time-savers from a coffeemaker to a microwave, toaster, and blender. Even if you're planning to sample Gatlinburg's fine restaurants while on vacation, this kitchen makes it easy for you to toss a few groceries into the fridge and always have drinks and snacks handy, not to mention plates and silverware for takeout and leftovers.

Opening out from the main living and dining area is the beautiful wraparound wooden deck, overhung with trees and offering panoramic views of hillsides, meadows, and sky. There's a hot tub out here that easily accommodates four people, offering total privacy in the crisp, open air of this mountain paradise. End your evening with a glass of wine and one of the best views you'll ever find, all in bubbly comfort!

The upper story includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The primary suite is heavenly, featuring a king-sized bed, heart-shaped Jetted Tub built for 2, private TV, and en-suite bathroom. After days filled with people and activity, you will love returning to this cozy, private space! With plenty of storage and a charming country decor, the primary bedroom is simply perfect!

For getting up and out of the house quickly in the morning, the primary bath is ideal. Here you'll find a walk-in shower and plenty of storage space for your toiletries. All towel sets and sheets are provided for every bed and bath at Mountain High View (including the sleeper sofa in the living room), so you can pack light and rest assured that everyone in the group can get showered and changed in comfort each day.

The second bedroom on the upper floor is dreamy as well. A queen-sized bed takes pride of place here, along with a TV, a bureau for stashing your vacation clothes, and access to the second full bathroom, which includes a shower/tub combo. Cheery country decoration makes this room snug and pretty!

The first floor of Mountain High View is a mecca for game lovers of all ages. The huge rec room here includes a pool table, foosball, darts, card table, and a big TV. Sink onto the comfy suede sofa and enjoy a real conversation, uninterrupted by anything except the laughter of your loved ones as they indulge in old-fashioned family games. The game room also includes a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffeemaker, so you don't have to run upstairs every time the gang needs refreshments!

The third bedroom and bathroom are also on the first floor. The bedroom is a wood-paneled den just right for sleeping late! Its double bed is very comfy, and this room has easy access to the full bathroom, which offers a shower/tub combo. And because the first floor has its own exterior entry, you can treat this floor as a self-contained apartment -- just right for teenagers, another couple traveling with you, or grandparents! A wraparound deck with patio furniture and incomparable views surrounds this floor. Paradise!

Mountain High View is close to the National Park and all the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, yet it seems wonderfully remote and private. You will love staying here, discovering the beauty waiting just beyond the decks, and savoring the fresh mountain air. Make this lovely house your Gatlinburg go-to for memorable vacations in every season!

Our wonderful cabin experience

My family and I loved the cabin! I would most definitely recommend it. This place was super clean! I would have loved to have stayed longer. What I also enjoyed was the journal the cabin had and reading other people’s experiences... that was a very nice and thoughtful!

Needs some renovations

The cabin presents as one unit however it's two separate units. The closets in both units have open spaces in the walls in all of the bedrooms. There was a rodent issue in bottom unit. Of all the TV's presents only the TV in the living worked. The kitchen lighting is very dim, we had to use a lamp from the living room area to have enough light to cook. The carpet around the jacuzzi appeared molded in areas. It would have been a great place with the scenery if the property had a better upkeeping.

Do not stay here

We came for a 4 night trip for a 4th of July vacation. This cabin is for people who only want a place to sleep and cook food. The only good thing I can really say is that at least this place didn't have bedbugs and there were a lot of dishes. The foosball table didn't have any balls, there was only 1 dart for the dart board, the internet continually looses signal and there is no fire pit even though all the other cabins around did have one. The pool and main cabin that the pool is at are closed for renovation. I called before booking and asked if they were open or not due to the pandemic and was told everything is open. They were not open, they were closed for for rennovations, so no pool. I did like that the upstairs and downstairs of the cabin are completely seperate, they do not connect from the inside so that was nice. Since we went with my sister, each of our family had our own seperate space. However there is no temperature control downstairs, the thermostat is upstairs and there is not adequate ventilation to the downstairs, even after going through and making sure all the vents were open, it got nice and cool upstairs and miserable hot in the downstairs bedroom, waking up stifling hot and uncomfortable every single night. Also, the microwave downstairs started smoking the first time tried to use it so the family downstairs went without being able to eat hot food at night for their stay(because they did not want to intrude on the people sleeping upstairs). When we first got there we Had a hard time getting into the cabin, the pin number for the lock code that was sent to me did not work, I had to call customer service to even be able to get into the place. There is no view, the name is Mountian High View but this cabin is at the bottom of a hill, the trees are taller tan the cabin there is absolutely no view, at all, the name is misleading they need to change it. The pictures they use of the mountian view in the listing photos are taken from a different cabin, it is false advertising. I repeat: the only view you have from this cabin is of trees, you cant see the mountians not even from a tiny little tiny spot, not even if you stand on a chair. There is no view. In the smaller bedroom upstairs the fan above the bed is loose and if you turn it on it starts swinging back and forth and you have to wonder "is this thing about to fall on me" but at least the bed was really very comfortable. The drain in the downstairs bathroom kept backing up because there is a bunch of stuff stuck in the pipe, it needs a snake taken to it and the first time we turned it on a huge cockroach came running out of the drain. We only saw 4 other cockroaches while we were there, so it's not too too bad, but, they are there. And the toilets needed to be plunged almost every other time. I was kind of worried because in the pictures I was wondering how old the couches and etc are but they were very clean and comfortable and there were ample dishes and everything you need to cook a holiday meal(pans, pots, casserole dish, baking sheets, measuring cups etc) so at least there's that. Overall I was very disappointed, the cost of this cabin compared to others in the area, you can get a place that truly does have a view with all the amenities for the same price. I called multiple times with my complaints and they sent a maintenance person who was able to do absolutely nothing about our problems and did not offer to discount our stay. Also, the cleaning lady came at 9:30 a.m and sat in her car out front of the cabin and watched us load up our vehicles waiting on us to leave, (check out isn't until 10) Overall, I do not recommend this cabin, it WAS clean and had enough dishes to cook with but I do not recommended unless you only want to sleep and eat here, and have no recreation with your family. I could have stayed at a tiny little microtel for 60$ a night and had roughly the same experience that I had at this place.

Very unhappy with our stay. Was unaware that the downstairs could only be accessed by going outside as if they were 2 separate apartments. There was mold in the closets and showers. Was not properly cleaned, hair in the shower. Loose/spongy deck boards. Hot tube was on lower deck, water from upper deck dripping on us while in the hot tube. The electrical outlets would hardly hold when having things plugged in. Light switch fixtures loose/hanging from the wall. No lightbulbs in the lamps.

Quite and peaceful with plenty of room.

The cabin was clean and amenities were as described including the video games. Had one incident with the water freezing but Billy came within a couple of hours and had a remedy for that and didn’t have anymore issues. It was very peaceful and private. There was plenty of room in the cabin and I would recommend an upgrade to a hideaway bed couch and there is space to bring an air mattress too. The driveway is awkward to get in and out but is supposed to be fixed for easier access soon. The place is hard to navigate to but once you figure out to go to the second Owenby circle off of shields view dr entrance and then Owenby terrace to the gravel drive called Brian’s way it’s all down hill from there.Overall had a great stay and will rent it again.

Worst experience ever!

The property we ended up staying in was very nice, but the original property we booked had no running water anywhere in the cabin and smelled horrible. We called the emergency number for someone to come help us, or relocate us to another property and they kept asking us to locate the breakers and water meter and would not do anything for us. After over an hour of continuing to be placed on hold they finally sent us to a 2nd property 30 min to Pigeon Forge and we could not make entry. After almost another hour of asking us if we were turning the door handle correctly and asking if we were pushing on the door correctly and could not make entry, they had us drive 30 minutes back to Gatlinburg to our 3rd property of the night which took over 3 hours to finally make entry and try to get settled in. By this time it was after 11pm! This ordeal was NOT acceptable and EXTREMELY bad business! I had worked all night Thursday night, slept maybe 2 hours before driving 4 hours to our location and I was exhausted. This was supposed to be a weekend of rest and relaxing and it definitely was NOT! I deserve a refund for going through this, or I will NEVER book through this sire ever again. We had 2 nights to stay and our 1st night was completely ruined!

False Advertising

This place was a dump but, before I get to that there’s the false advertising. They claimed there was a pool within walking distance. I guess a few miles in your flip flops carrying your pool towel is walking distance. Worse than that, the pool wasn’t even open but, the listing still shows a pool even after I pointed it out to them. Apparently, since there will be a pool next year, they are going to sucker everyone in the meantime. We chose this place specifically for the pool so the kids would have something to do in the evening. On top of that they won’t return your calls. I left a message 3 times and waited on the phone for 30 minutes at a stretch several times with no answer or return call. Now, on to the dump part. The TV’s in the bedrooms didn’t work. The microwave downstairs didn’t work. The toilet upstairs leaked into the bathroom downstairs. The fan in the bedroom would wobble to the point of flying apart if you turned it above low. The fan in the upstairs living room worked for a day then died so we sat and sweated in the living room in the evening but it was the only room with a working TV. Basically false advertising, terrible service and over all junk building. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
