Description

Lovers' Hideaway isn't just for lovers. Yes, the cabin offers romantic amenities such as a king-size bed and a jetted tub in the primary suite, an outdoor hot tub on the wraparound lower deck, a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace and a private balcony where you can gaze up at the stars. But because Lovers' Hideaway also has a queen-size sofa bed, two full bathrooms, a pool table and an arcade table, you can easily bring the kids along for a family vacation. You can even bring your pets! All four-legged friends are welcome.

Situated on a ridge amid stately trees, Lovers' Hideaway offers plenty of privacy. Yet it's surprisingly close to restaurants, shops and attractions. Downtown Gatlinburg, for instance, is only 10 minutes away, and you can drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community and Dollywood, among other destinations, in less than a half-hour. What's more, when you stay here in the summer, you'll have free access to three nearby pool areas where you can swim, laze on a poolside chaise and play ping-pong, shuffleboard and other games.

However, you don't have to leave Lovers' Hideaway to have a great time. Atop the living room fireplace is a 42-inch HDTV with cable. You can watch a movie while snuggling on the luxe leather sofa. There's a full-size pool table just behind the couch and, like many of the cabin's other furnishings, it was crafted from logs, giving it a rustic elegance that beautifully complements the wood-planked walls and floor. If the pool's not your game, sit down at the arcade table-though if you're vacationing with the kids, they may have beaten you to it.

Thanks to Lovers' Hideaway's convenient location, there are scores of restaurants nearby, offering just about every type of cuisine you can imagine. Sometimes, though, it's more relaxing to dine in. Fortunately, the kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware you could need, no matter how elaborate a meal you have in mind. Go ahead, surf the web using the free Wi-Fi. You may even find a recipe you'd never have time to make at home. There's a park-style charcoal grill outside as well, perfect if you reel in some trout from one of the nearby streams. Plus, a dishwasher to make cleanup a snap. The dining table can seat up to six people, and after the plates are cleared it makes a great game table.

The primary suite is upstairs. In fact, it makes up the entire loft level. Like the rest of Lovers' Hideaway, it boasts lustrous wooden floors and artful log-style furnishings. Before you retire to the sumptuous king-size bed, perhaps to watch a romantic movie on the 32-inch TV. You can also luxuriate in the suite's jetted tub. If a long soak among its pulsating jets of steamy water doesn't put you in the mood for romance, a nightcap out on the loft's private balcony will. Sit back on the rocking chairs with a glass of wine and gaze up at the twinkling stars as crickets chirp and owls hoot-it's a magical experience you'll long remember.

In addition to a jetted tub, the primary suite has a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. A second full bathroom, with a combination shower/tub, is on the main floor, which is especially convenient if you've brought the kids along. We'll provide plenty of clean towels and bedding, so you don't have to load up your suitcase with your own linens from home. In fact, you can pack extra light, as Lovers' Hideaway includes a washer and dryer.

Whether you're coming to Gatlinburg for romance or family fun, Lovers' Hideaway is a charming, perfectly located cabin to serve as your home base. So book your stay today-we look forward to seeing you!

Pleasantly surprised

The owners thought of everything you might need, to include an ice tea maker. The cabin was clean and ready for us to check-in. We enjoyed playing the arcade game. It was like going back in time 40 years.

Beautiful rustic cabin in the woods

Beautiful cabin - loved it! Challenging roads leading up to cabin - would not drive it at night. Code to access cabin did not work - had to wait out in the cold. Cleaning could be a bit better - no dishwasher detergent supplied - missing some personal touches. Downstairs bathroom door scrapes across floor. Overall had a great time.

Great property! Intended for 2 but worked out great for our family of 4!

We stayed at Lover's Hideaway. The property was great! Nice & clean upon arrival! Even the outdoor chairs and tables had been cleaned off which some places tend to forget about! Big enough for our family of 4. The pool table and tabletop arcade were a big hit! Hot tub was very enjoyable after being out and about all day long. The cabin was close enough to everything but far enough back in the woods to feel away from it all. We thought the location was great! They supplied some small sized bar soaps, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, etc. to get you going for your stay. Refrigerator and appliances were nice and clean. Provided some bath linens as well. Washer and dryer were nice to have on site. A few things to note... 1. Don't rely on the wifi. We had to call to get the wifi which was simple and helpful but ended up being useless. None of us were ever able to get anything to download using the wifi on our phones or ipad. We ended up switching off the wifi on our phones and using our data plan. This wasn't a big deal for us but had we planned on working while here and relying on the wifi, we would have been very discouraged to say the least. 2. The kitchen is much too dark. Not sure why but there is not a light above the kitchen sink. Definitely a design flaw, in my opinion. The only lighting is a light above the table and the one from the microwave above the stove. We had happened to bring a small battery powered lantern and had to set it on top of paper towels to be able to see to prep food and do dishes at night. I highly suggest the owners consider installing some more lighting in the kitchen. 3. Our key code worked upon arrival but the next day after being out and about when we arrived back to the cabin, we couldn't get in. Our key code did not work. We called and they gave us a new code but ended up having to give us the code to the actual key box so we could physically enter using keys. They promptly sent a man out to fix this and provide us with a new code. Highly recommend having the phone number to contact them with you and not locked up in the cabin after arrival. We would have been in a big mess had I not had access to my email via my cell phone. 4. Bring a wine bottle opener. They provide wine glasses but we never came across a wine opener. Luckily, I had brought one. Despite these things, the property was great! Our entire family enjoyed our stay and any time we did call for something, the people were extremely helpful and prompt.

Great spot for our honeymoon.

Overall we were very pleased with the property and our stay. The cabin was beautiful, and we loved the hot tub and games. It was clean, other than a few minor things; a bit of trash around the property, and some hand prints on windows, etc. It was lacking on cook-wear and other kitchen tools, but we didn’t cook much. All we had to purchase was a corkscrew. The cabin is private, but I doubt it will be for long. It sits at the end of a very twisty mountain road where the fires occurred in 2016. There are many vacant lots, and a great deal of rebuilding going on. Also due to its location, a healthy vehicle is a must. It can put a strain on the breaks and transmission when going to and from the cabin regularly.
