Moonshine Run is less than 15 minutes from the many attractions of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. But there’s plenty to keep the entire family—and that includes the 4-legged members—entertained without leaving the cabin.
The loft’s game room is sure to be a favorite hangout of kids and grown-ups alike. When you’re not shooting pool at the full-size billiard table, you can play video games at the arcade or watch TV. And there’s plenty of room for the kids to spread out with their toys and games.
The living room, on the main floor, is just as inviting. The roll-arm seating is so comfortable—perfect for sinking into after you return from a day at Dollywood or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. When you’re not gazing out at the lush trees through the oversize windows, you can channel-surf on the large flat-screen TV with cable or surf the web via the free WiFi. On chilly winter evenings, everyone can gather by the golden glow of the stone-surround fireplace, hot cocoa or Irish coffee in hand.
Also on the main floor are Moonshine Run’s dining area and kitchen. Eight people can sit down together: 4 at the dining table and 4 more at the breakfast bar. The lustrous wood-planked walls and floor, the beamed ceiling, and the leafy views make this a delightful alternative to the numerous nearby restaurants. Whether you’re hosting a holiday feast or simply reheating leftovers, you’ll find all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need in the open, roomy kitchen.
Moonshine Run’s large covered deck provides another dining option. In addition to a gas grill, it’s home to a table and stools so that you can eat alfresco. Furnished with numerous Adirondack chairs, the deck is also a fabulous spot for sipping your morning coffee while listening to the larks and warblers put on a concert and for enjoying late-night margaritas in the moonlight.
Though it has just one official bedroom and only one available parking space, Moonshine Run can sleep as many as 8 people (and 2 pets). The master suite exemplifies laid-back luxury, from the king-size bed and the log-style furniture to the cathedral ceiling and the large windows to the flat-screen TV and the jetted tub. A long restorative soak in the tub’s massaging waters is the perfect way to end the day… and begin a romantic evening.
The master suite includes its own bathroom, with a step-in shower and plenty of storage. Moonshine Run has a 2nd full bathroom as well, along with a 2nd sleeping area just off the game room. As many as 4 people can sleep on its queen-size bunk beds. What’s more, the living room sofa opens into a bed for 2 more, should you have extra guests.
Perhaps the best feature of Moonshine Run, however, is its convenient location. In less than 10 minutes you can be splashing about at Wild Bear Falls Water Park, which because it’s indoors is open year-round. Just a few minutes further is downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Anakeesta outdoor entertainment complex, the Guinness World Records Adventure, mini golf, thrill rides, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, arcades, distilleries, shops, restaurants, and more. Only 15 minutes from the cabin are the flora and fauna of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which you can explore on foot, on bike, on horseback, or by car. Just as close is the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an 8-mile trail of more than 120 shops, galleries, and studios. Head in the opposite direction and you can be at Pigeon Forge’s dinner theaters, Dollywood, Alcatraz East Museum, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, WonderWorks, go-kart tracks, and more in minutes.
No matter how you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the serenity and comfort of Moonshine Run afterward. Book your stay today; we’re looking forward to seeing you.
