Lake Vista Lodge 4 out of 5 stars

At check in, we arrived a few minutes early and was allowed to enter early. After we unpacked my children were wanting the wifi password. I called to get it and was put on hold for 30 + minutes. As I was looking around the house, I saw it written on the wall. So I hung up. When we arrived, there were lots of steps that were steep for my elderly mother n law. We liked the cabin, it was pretty. However, the hot tub had not been turned on and the water was cold. It was the next day before we could enjoy the hot tub. While cooking there was no exhaust or lights over the stove. While cooking bacon- we set the smoke detector off. Overall the cabin was clean. There was a roll of paper towels left outside on the ground by the hot tub and there was a dirty fork with food stuck on it left on the counter top. Overall, we were pleased.

Relaxing stay

We loved this cabin. It has a nice relaxing porch swing I loved reading on. The claw foot tub was nice. We played pool and enjoyed the fire pit every night. The road it is located on had a lot of cars driving quickly by which made me nervous when walking our dog. Other that that it was perfect.

Lake Vista Lodge

Nice cabin, great Location. The fishing pond was a disappointment. It was not fishable and down the street. Pictures were misleading.

B day stay

The cabin was nice but there’s a big ant problem. There was also a sewage smell coming from the dishwasher right before we left. I had to clean when we got there because I didn’t feel like it had been cleaned. We also found a drop of blood on the floor.

Peaceful mountain getaway in Gatlinburg

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Vista Lodge. There was plenty of room for all four of us and our two little dogs. Everything was in great condition. When we arrived (early check in option was great) the property manager was there completing her final inspection and found she couldn't get a couple of the TV's to work properly. She put in a maintenance request and they followed up the next day, but our teenagers had already sorted it out. That is great service on Aunt Bugs part.Hot tub and porches were wonderful and the location is excellent. .close to Gatlinburg, but in the peaceful Arts and Crafts district.Thank you again! We'll definitely be back some day.

City Getaway!

Such a wonderful cabin in the woods. Feels like you are miles away from everyone but main street Gatlinburg is only 10 minutes away! The cabin is very spacious. You can do a full family trip or keep it a small romantic city getaway for two.

The cabin would have been great if it had been cleaned before our arrival. Other than that it was a decent stay.

Cabin Lake Vista

Overall we enjoyed our stay in this area of Gatlinburg, but there were a few things we thought we should message you regarding the cabin rental. The cleaning crew did not do their due diligence as there were Dirty towels and previous guest clothes/personal items left behind and not removed giving a sense of uncleanliness. We wanted to play pool in the basement but none of the lights or garage door worked but no breaker was blown. The last night of our stay, while in the hot tub, the hot tub breaker blew and the motion detector light it was attached to. Went inside to reset it in the dark, came back out and the motion detector at the lower level door doesn't pick up motion from goingfrom the lower level door back to the hot tub. When coming back around the corner of the house to the hot tub, ended up falling from the steps to the unlevel hot tub deck resulting in a busted up knee, scraped leg, and swelled up ankle as it was completely dark bc the motion detector light never kicked on. The cameras were a surprise. There was no notification of the cameras before our stay and along with no information on parameters of the purpose or use of them. This was concerning and made us feel uneasy and being watched as well as question where more cameras were located throughout property and cabin. We hope that the garage/outdoor lighting and lower level deck steps are fixed before another guest stays and an injury occurs again. From the situations described above, we would like to request a discount of some sorts for the events that occurred at Lake Vista Lodge. We appreciate your consideration in this matter.
