Description

Whether you plan to ski, hike, or check out all the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, you'll find Sweet Blessings an ideal home base. The two-bedroom chalet-style cabin, which sleeps six guests, is perched among the Smoky Mountains in the Chalet Village community. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, and downtown are all within a 10-minute drive. What's more, from the cabin's spacious wraparound deck you'll have views of lush woodlands and the mountains themselves.

Sweet Blessings' setting is nothing short of spectacular. Fortunately, the deck is furnished so that you can spend hours outdoors. Enjoy breakfast at the picnic table while wrens and warblers greet the day, then sip a nightcap under the stars while ensconced in one of the comfortable Adirondack chairs. The vistas are so glorious and the surroundings so serene, you'll find it hard to believe just how close you are to everything from mountain coasters to restaurants.

The cabin's interior is just as restful. The wood-planked cathedral ceiling gives the great room an airy, welcoming vibe, which is enhanced in winter by the golden glow of the fireplace. Once you sink into the plush sofa or one of the two roomy recliners, you might never want to get back up. Luckily there's a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player to keep you entertained, along with free Wi-Fi.

When it comes to dining, you have numerous options. Scores of restaurants, offering everything from seafood to Italian to fondue, are just a short drive away. You can also dine either on the deck or in the great room's dining area. Four people can comfortably sit at the round dining table, and two more can belly up to the adjacent breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, cookware and tableware you'll need, whether you're hosting a holiday feast or whipping up margaritas to enjoy by moonlight.

Each of Sweet Blessings' two bedrooms includes a log-frame queen-size bed. One bedroom is on the main floor, while the second is tucked up in the loft. Having the bedrooms on separate floors allows for additional privacy. If you have extra guests, you can open the great room's sofa, it converts to a queen-size bed.

Along with two bedrooms, Sweet Blessings has two bathrooms. You'll be able to indulge in a long, pampering shower without worrying about a line forming on the other side of the door. Nor do you have to worry about bringing towels or linens. You'll arrive to find plenty of clean towels in both bathrooms, the beds impeccably made up, and extra bedding ready and waiting. If you want to start your vacation with a shower or a nap, you can.

Chances are you won't want to spend too much time sleeping, however. There's simply too much fun to be had nearby! If you stay at Sweet Blessings in the summer, you'll have free access to Chalet Village's outdoor swimming pool. A visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must. You can discover its wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls on foot, on bike, on horseback or by car. Also close by is Ober Gatlinburg, where you can ski and snowboard its slopes in winter and enjoy rides, ice-skating and a wildlife exhibit year-round. The attractions of downtown Gatlinburg include the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, mini golf and arcades. Also nearby are the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster and the Wild Bear Falls indoor water park.

No matter how you spend your day, you'll love returning to the quiet, calm, and natural beauty of Sweet Blessings afterward. Book your stay today and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Amazing view!

The mountain view from the deck was amazing-ever-changing from late afternoon until moon rise. The property location was excellent - very close to the park entrance and downtown Gatlinburg and there was a small market just down the road. The cabin was rustic, but very comfortable, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Loved our stay in a beautiful A-frame cabin!

Overall, our stay was great! The cabin was beautiful, very nicely furnished and decorated, beds were comfortable and all amenities were fine. Only two negatives, (1) the heat downstairs did not work very well, the air coming out felt cool and with 20+ degrees outside, we were constantly cold. The heat worked very well upstairs so we ended up showering and sleeping upstairs which was fine, except that going up the spiral staircase was a bit of a strain for my husband and me. (2) We were not able to figure out how to open the garbage cage outside, maybe because it was covered in snow but we had to take the garbage with us as I didn't want to leave it out for the bears to get at. Luckily it was only 1 bag and we put it in the first dumpster we saw. In addition, we arrived at the property the afternoon after a snowfall, which we were not expecting and us being from Florida, going up that mountain was a bit intimidating. We also didn't know that the climb was going to be so steep, it would have been great to have been warned. Thank goodness our car was able to manage it perfectly, however, don't know how it would have been if the roads were covered in snow. Luckily, they were clear of snow when we got there.

Sweet Blessings with Bear viewing

Very cute little cabin nestled in the mountains right above Gaitlinburg. We even had 3 bear cubs entertain us one morning on the deck. Only drawback, many steps to carry luggage into cabin.
