Whether you plan to ski, hike, or check out all the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, you’ll find Sweet Blessings an ideal home base. The 2-bedroom chalet-style cabin, which sleeps 6, is perched among the Smoky Mountains in the Chalet Village community. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, and downtown are all within a 10-minute drive. What’s more, from the cabin’s spacious wraparound deck you’ll have views of lush woodlands and the mountains themselves.

Sweet Blessings’ setting is nothing short of spectacular. Fortunately, the deck is furnished so that you can spend hours outdoors. Enjoy breakfast at the picnic table while wrens and warblers greet the day; sip a nightcap under the stars while ensconced in one of the comfortable Adirondack chairs. The vistas are so glorious and the surroundings so serene, you’ll find it hard to believe just how close you are to everything from mountain coasters to restaurants.

The cabin’s interior is just as restful. The wood-planked cathedral ceiling gives the great room an airy, welcoming vibe, which is enhanced in winter by the golden glow of the fireplace. Once you sink into the plush sofa or one of the 2 roomy recliners, you might never want to get back up. Luckily there’s a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player to keep you entertained, along with free WiFi.

When it comes to dining, you have numerous options. Scores of restaurants, offering everything from seafood to Italian to fondue, are just a short drive away. You can also dine either on the deck or in the great room’s dining area. Four people can comfortably sit at the round dining table, and 2 more can belly up to the adjacent breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need, whether you’re hosting a holiday feast or whipping up margaritas to enjoy by moonlight.

Each of Sweet Blessings’ 2 bedrooms includes a log-frame queen-size bed. One bedroom is on the main floor, while the 2nd is tucked up in the loft. Having the bedrooms on separate floors allows for additional privacy. If you have extra guests, you can open the great room’s sofa; it converts to a queen-size bed.

Along with 2 bedrooms, Sweet Blessings has 2 bathrooms. You’ll be able to indulge in a long, pampering shower without worrying about a line forming on the other side of the door. Nor do you have to worry about bringing towels or linens; you’ll arrive to find plenty of clean towels in both bathrooms, the beds impeccably made up, and extra bedding ready and waiting. If you want to start your vacation with a shower or a nap, you can.

Chances are you won’t want to spend too much time sleeping, however. There’s simply to much fun to be had nearby! If you stay at Sweet Blessings in the summer, you’ll have free access to Chalet Village’s outdoor swimming pool. A visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must; you can discover its wildlife, wildflowers, and waterfalls on foot, on bike, on horseback, or by car. Also close by is Ober Gatlinburg, where you can ski and snowboard its slopes in winter and enjoy rides, ice-skating, and a wildlife exhibit year-round. The attractions of downtown Gatlinburg include the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, mini golf, and arcades. Also nearby are the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster and the Wild Bear Falls indoor water park.

No matter how you spend your day, you’ll love returning to the quiet, calm, and natural beauty of Sweet Blessings afterward. Book your stay today, and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime.

We had an amazing time. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated, and my family and I love the view.

RAW SEWAGE ODORS 9/20-9/24/21.

RENTER BEWARE - Raw Sewage Smells - Sept 20-24, 2021. We read a non- dated review about the sewage odors in this cabin , were apprehensive and contacted Jackson Mountain Homes Rental prior to renting. They looked at their maintenance records and told us septic was cleaned “monthly”(which is quite frequent, where we live it’s done yearly). Perhaps a red flag??? “Monthly” septic cleanings? On the 2nd day noticed raw sewage smells from the bedroom on first floor. We purchased essential oils and sprayed to help mask the odor but crap smells like crap. Also, if you want to cook, the largest pot didn’t have any handles nor did they provide a pot holder or a colander (tricky when you’re cooking spaghetti). The beautiful 2 Adirondack chairs with the quaint table shown on the deck do not exist. There is “1” Adirondack chair and two $5 plastic chairs one of which is cracked on the back. That quaint small table between the chairs is in 3 pieces on the deck. Lots of garbage strewn and visible from the deck (this was also mentioned in a prior review). The front door may lock for you or it may not - we couldn’t get it to lock each time we left. We contacted the Jackson Mountain Homes and were offered “nothing” for all the inconveniences. We will not be returning to the Smelly Blessings Cabin.

Great location, could be cleaner.

The location and view are great. Check in was really simple. The cabin needed to be cleaned a bit better though, it was not vacuumed before we got there. Also some of the kitchen gear needs to be replaced.

Loved our stay in a beautiful A-frame cabin!

Overall, our stay was great! The cabin was beautiful, very nicely furnished and decorated, beds were comfortable and all amenities were fine. Only two negatives, (1) the heat downstairs did not work very well, the air coming out felt cool and with 20+ degrees outside, we were constantly cold. The heat worked very well upstairs so we ended up showering and sleeping upstairs which was fine, except that going up the spiral staircase was a bit of a strain for my husband and me. (2) We were not able to figure out how to open the garbage cage outside, maybe because it was covered in snow but we had to take the garbage with us as I didn't want to leave it out for the bears to get at. Luckily it was only 1 bag and we put it in the first dumpster we saw. In addition, we arrived at the property the afternoon after a snowfall, which we were not expecting and us being from Florida, going up that mountain was a bit intimidating. We also didn't know that the climb was going to be so steep, it would have been great to have been warned. Thank goodness our car was able to manage it perfectly, however, don't know how it would have been if the roads were covered in snow. Luckily, they were clear of snow when we got there.

Moldy smell!!

The house had an awful moldy smell. The steep incline to the house was nerve racking!! We were so unhappy we left a day early

Sweet Cabin!

It was a nice cabin. It was cozy, relaxing and very clean. The only issue in the cabin was that large burner on the stove didn’t work most of the time. The porch on the cabin was fantastic and the view was gorgeous. Read the info they leave about the bears and always lock your car doors. We went out one morning and three of the car doors were open. I thought someone had broken into it until I saw the muddy bear paw prints in my car seats. We hadn’t left anything so I’m not sure why they got in the car, but fortunately no damage was done. Take the bear info seriously. If I went back, I would stay there again.

Good start to retirement getaway!

A good experience. The cabin was rustic but everything worked. Furnishings were unique. Jew was excellent abd we spent most if time there on the deck enjoying it. The visits from the two bears were exciting but we kept our safe distance. Cooling system good. Privacy was nice. All together a good experience!
